This three cup candelabra (which may be turned upside down) measures 5" tall and is 7 1/8" in length. On the underside of one of the cups is painted Sweden 26III; on another the Gustavsberg Studio hand insignia and the painter's mark of a star. The cups are hand painted in blue, yellow and red. Excellent condition.

This eye-catching bakelite bracelet is yellow and a woody brown. Excellent condition.

This is a very nice erotic walking stick featuring a lady with her arms up fixing her hair. There is some great carving on this stick, be sure to check out the bow in her hair and the hair itself. With and ebony shaft and bone ferrule, this stick measures 35 1/2" x 1 1/4" x 1/2". The ferrule measures 1" and the collar 3/4". The handle itself measures 4 1/2" x 1 1/4" x 1/2". This stick is in very good condition.

Simple yet elegant sobriquet seal utilizing a Chinese stone similar to chicken blood stone. The seal contains an inscription which translates as: The seal was carved on an auspicious day in December of 1958 (for) Fujiwara Gyokuun. The carved bottom of the seal contains a three character text reading: Kingensen, or The well where gold can be found. Size: height 1.75" width 0.5" length 1.25"

A 4-3/4" tall splint and sweetgrass woven Native American Northeastern embroidery or sewing thread lidded basket c1900-30. This Art Deco charger, c 1939, is from Kupittaan pottery in Finland. The decoration, a male nude combined with a border of laurel leaves, suggests a Olympics venue. The 1940 Olympic Games, originally scheduled for Japan, was rescheduled for Helsinki, Finland. Those games were postponed because of the Soviet invasion of Finland in 1939. This charger probably was created in anticipation of the Helsinki games. It measures 14" in diameter, and is in mint condition. A very rare object.

A Chinese porcelain bowl used for growing bulb flowers. The bowl dates to the Republic period, and measures 7 1/2" x 4 1/2" x 2". The landscape decoration has been done in a ruby pink under glaze, and there is calligraphy done in black on each end. The white porcelain shows orange peel texture, and when new there was gold on the rim. Condition: The condition is excellent, but most of the gold on the rim is gone, and there are small kiln flaws. 1971 was a big year for Haku Maki He did over 100 different images of Japanese prints. Some, like this one, were big prints--this one, Poem 71-91, is 30.5 Inches x 15.25. It is 68/108. This is the abstract kanji for Mu or Nothing and he titled it Nothing The kanji starts at the top then cascades down to the final four strokes at the bottom. This is one of the finest examples of Berndt Friberg's ceramic mastery that I have acquired since dealing from 1984. It has never been in a shop or auction, but has an important provenance and was procured directly from Friberg. It is without any flaws, which is extremely rare for a piece of this size. Magnificent in every way. It measures 15 3/4" and is 3 3/4' in diameter. Museum quality for the advanced collector.
