Rare and magnificent silver and natural turquoise hair clip by New York Modernist Art Smith(1917-1982). An African American, he took his inspiration from African tribal art and costume to create "sculpture to wear". Most of his work is in brass and copper. It is not often that he worked in silver and even more rare to find stones and silver. The central piece of the hair clip measures 2 3/8" long and 2 1/2" wide at the top, narrowing to 1 1/2" at the very bottom...

Stunning silver and Number 8 turquoise bracelet. Measuring 5 1/2" around in the inside plus a 1" opening, it is 1 5/8" wide in the center and narrows to 5/8" at the terminals. The magnificent stone itself measures 1 3/8" long and 1 1/8" wide. It is free of chips or cracks. This is a heavy cuff weighing 81 grams. All original, no repairs. A very impressive piece.

He began working in 1938 and was a silversmith in the Frank Patania Sr. Thunderbird Shop. His creations have won many awards. This cuff measures 5 1/4" around in the inside plus a 1" opening. Beautiful handmade sterling and center coral bracelet with deep chisel work from the White Hogan shop in Scottsdale,Arizona that opened its' doors in 1950 and closed in 2006. This cuff measures 4 3/4" around in the inside plus a 1" opening for a total of 5 3/4" so for a small wrist. However, it could be made larger by a competent jeweler. A rare pair of inlaid Knifewing design cuff links by Zuni silversmith John Gordon Leak. The inlaid Knifewing figure is set in a background of black jet. These measure 1" by 1", weigh 20.3 grams and are in fine original condition. John Gordon Leak's work was prominently featured in the C. G. Wallace collection auctioned by Sotheby's in 1975. Striking sterling overlay ring by Hopi master jeweler Victor Coochwytewa who began producing in the 1940's and is one of the most celebrated jewelers in Hopi history. The ring is a size 7 3/4 and the face measures 1 7/8" long. It is in fine original condition and signed with his raincloud symbol as well as the Hopi Guild mark. His work is highly sought after and rare to find. This is a very fine example of his talent.

Fabulous hand made sterling and #8 turquoise ring by notable Navajo silversmith Mark Chee. Active from the 1930 - 60's, he was a benchsmith for Frank Patania and is considered one of the most important Navajo silversmiths of the mid 20th century. Over the top extraordinary, large, long sterling and enamel screwback earrings by Margot De Taxco. Vibrant yellow and black enamel with center dots in green, red and pale purple that look like jewels. These measure 2 1/8" long and are 1" at the widest part. They are in fine original condition. There are no chips, cracks or flaws to the enamel and they have not been repaired. They are completely, simply spectacular.
