This Chinese calligraphy couplet was written by late 19th century Chinese scholar and government official XU SHICHANG. Both scrolls are 16 inches wide and 64 inches long and in good condition. The calligraphy measures 12 ½ inches wide and 52 inches long. Mr. Xu was born 1854 in Tianjing City and died 1939. During the late Qing Dynasty, he was appointed by the Qing Emperor as Viceroy of Manchuria and an official scholar of Ti-Ren Ge (royal chamber or cabinet)...

This peach bloom glazed long neck vase is a late 19th or early 20th century product. It is 9 3/8” high and 4” wide from the widest part. Aside from one air bubble (like a small lump) due to the firing, it is in great condition.

This rectangular jade (nephrite) pendant (or plaque) is 3 ¼” long, 2” wide and 3/16” thick. It is an early 20th century product. It is carved on both sides as a stylized dragon surrounded by Ling Zhi (lucky mushroom). Aside from a small chip (less than 1/8” long) on the side, it is in good condition.

This early 20th century Famille Rose snuff bottle features hand painted chrysanthemum, cherry, rose, peony and other unknown blossoms on a white background. It is 2 3/8” high, 2 1/8” wide and 1 1/8” thick. The cap and spoon are replacements. It is in very good condition.

This pair of early 20th century Famille Verte plates are 1 inch deep and 8 ½ inches in diameter. They depict two ladies in a garden. One lady is dressed in green and is holding a fan; the other lady is in pink and is holding a round mirror. The outer rim is decorated with pink mums and a green brocade pattern. This late 19th or early 20th century Mille Fleurs (thousand flowers) brush holder is 5 inches high and 2 ¾ inches in diameter. It depicts peony, chrysanthemum, lily, hibiscus, iris and several unknown flowers covering the entire body. There is a blue endless square cloud pattern on the rim. There is a red honorable Qian Long mark on the bottom. It is in excellent condition.

This early 20th century ivory carving of a maiden is 15 7/8” high (17 ½” with base), 3 ½” wide and 2 7/8” thick. She wears a simple and elegant robe and holds a bouquet of flowers in front of her. The carving is superb and has nice patina. The wood base is a later made piece. Aside from some small hair line cracks due to its age, the statue is in great condition. This pair of marked Guang Xu Period (1875~1908) Famille Rose plates are 1 inch deep and 6 ¾ inches in diameter. They depict a long-tail bird and butterfly in a flower garden. The workmanship is wonderful. The gold edging has worn off slightly. There is one small hairline crack in one plate and an old repair in the other one.

This nicely carved jade (jadeite) pendant is 2 ½” long, 1 ½” wide and ¼” thick. It is a late 19th or early 20th century product. It is carved on both sides as a twisted RuYi (如意) scepter with LingZhi (靈芝) ends surrounded by a small unknown plant. A small lucky bat is sitting on top of the carving. It is in great condition.
