This early 20th century Chinese carved jadeite lady is 4 ¾” high, 1 ½” wide and 1 ¼” thick. It depicts a lady holding a silk box containing several volumes of books. The natural grain of the stone is apparent. It is in great condition.

This early 20th century Japanese carved bone and tagua statue is 6 ¼” high, 2” wide (the base is 2 5/8” wide) and 1 ¾” thick. It depicts a man who appears to be a merchant. His left hand carries a pouch; his right hand is raised up and holds an unknown subject. His body was carved from bone and his head was carved from tagua (vegetable ivory). Aside from a small repair on the collar, it is in good condition.

This small 19th century Chinese carved nephrite cup is 3 ¼” long 1 ½” high and 1 ¾’ on its widest part. The cup was carved to look like an old bronze vessel. A dragon (or beast) head is carved on the top of the handle and belt like “Ru Ding” design encompasses the entire body. Aside a tiny indentation on its rim, it is in great condition.

This early 20th century large export carved ivory goddess of mercy (GuanYin) is 18” high (with carved wood stand it is 20 ½” high), 4” wide and 3” thick (measured from the base). Her right hand holds a branch of willow leaves; her left hand carries a basket filled with lotus blossoms. A phoenix is standing on her side and a tiny sitting Buddha with a fire halo is in her dark, braided hair. There is an honorable Qian Long mark carved on the bottom. It is in excellent condition.

This pair of Qing Dynasty Famille Rose Mille Fleurs (thousand flowers) plates are 1 ¼” high and 9 ¾” in diameter. They depict a large pink peony in the center and chrysanthemum, lily, hibiscus, iris and several unknown flowers cover both plates. There are Guang Xu (1875~1908) marks and three separate floral (peony) designs on the bottoms. The workmanship is elegant. The gold edging on the rims has slightly rubbed off. Aside from this minor wear, they are in great condition.

This late 19th century small Famille Rose brush holder is 4 ¼” tall and 2 ¾” in diameter. It depicts a young boy is trying to light fire crackers. An older girl is covering the ears of another frightened boy. The workmanship is simple and elegant. There is a maker’s mark on the bottom which reads “Xin Yuan Xuan made this.” It is in excellent condition.

This Qing Dynasty Guang Xu Period (1875~1908) Famille Rose seal box is 2” high and 3” in diameter. It depicts two young boys riding on Qi Ling (or Ki Ren, a legendary animal, usually related with young male), another is pushing a cart, carrying a symbolic officer’s hat. There are small floral designs on the rim. Aside from one old chip inside the box and a couple of small chips on the bottom, it is in fairly good condition.

The cover depicts a man holding a staff walking toward a hut. The building extends over a pond. Another man is resting in the hut. There are a bunch of small houses and trees beside the pond. Mountains dominate the background. It is in great condition.
