Minimal Scottish terrier, jigsawed from silver sheet metal and wearing a copper collar. Made in Austria or Bohemia in the 1920’s or 30’s. The chain is later, stamped 835. The little dog is "1/2 / 14 mm long, the chain "16 / 41 cm. Condition: fine.

A large silver filigree star-shaped pin, 1960s. Marked Sterling Norway and makers mark LJH for Leif J Hansen who worked in the town of Bergen, Norway 1948-77. Diameter "2/ 4.8 cm. Condition: fine.

Silver and moonstone brooch with a raised and oxidized design in Celtic style. Unmarked except for a very small cross-like mark on the pin. Tested for a silver content of at least 800 / 1000 and probably Scottish, c 1900. Length "2 ½/ 6.5 cm, security clasp. Condition: fine.

Israeli silver filigree ornament that could be used both as a brooch and a pendant. Parcel gilt – the teardrops surrounding the oval black stone are left in white silver. Width "2 / 5.5 cm. Probably 1970's, marked in Hebrew (?) plus Made in Israel 935. Safety clasp. Condition: fine.

Silver gilt filigree and enamel brooch by Topazio, depicting a lovely Portuguese lady with a basket of grapes. Figures in elegantly traditional dress are found in many of Topazio’s pieces from the 1920’s and 30’s. The chains fixed to the pin makes the brooch move, and so draws attention to its wearer. Elegant silver pin brooch with two cabochon cut amethyst stones surrounded by leaf vines in Art Nouveau / Jugendstil. Made in Germany c 1910 and marked 835 for the silver content. Swedish import mark (three crowns in an oval and S). Width "2/ 5.5 cm, height "3/4/ 1.8 cm. Condition: fine.

Bolo tie, leather and silver with an Aztec warrior and inlay of blue turquoise chips. Marked Mexico and 925, probably made c 1960. Height of the silver slide "1 ½ / 4 cm, length of cord "43 / 110 cm. Condition: some tarnish.

Elegant silver filigree brooch, a Norwegian solje. Less exuberant in style than most filigree solje brooches, without any enamel or gilt - just two shimmering roundels and the traditional chains holding the little pendant ornaments. Silver standard mark 830S and the pin hook with the three crowns of the Swedish hallmark – the brooch was made around 1900 when Sweden and Norway were united (the union was dissolved in 1905). Width "1 ½ / 3.7 and height "2/ 5.3 cm. Condition: fine.

Early 20th century silver and rhinestone or paste earrings, from Knoll & Pregizer in Pforzheim, Germany. K&P started up in 1887 and specialized in hand made sterling silver and imitation stones jewelry. The diameter of the little paste flowers is "1/4 / 8 mm, each with impressed KP shield mark and 925. Condition: fine.

Taxco Mexican brooch or pin by Miguel Melendez. Pre-Columbian motif of a stylized bird’s head surrounded by a circle with azurite inlay. Fully marked, with maker’s mark (small m inside a C), eagle stamp and 3 = after 1948. Security clasp. Diameter "1½/ 3,8 cm. Condition: fine.

Dragon brooch in the Viking style, the fable animal copied from the superbly elegant 12th century wood carvings on the portal of Urnes stave church in Norway, now on the Unesco World Heritage list. Sterling silver with marks 925, NM under crown for the National Museum and Copy. Height including the small (and movable) handle "2/ 5.3 cm. Condition: fine.

Modernist pin made up of little silver “icicles”, their brightness being heightened by carré cut rock crystals. Made in the 1960’s by Kordes & Lichtenfels in Pforzheim, Germany. An elegant silver tie clip by Marcin Zaremski, Warsaw, c 1980. The pure and restricted style of MZ has made him internationally known. Monogram mark MJZ, 925 (sterling quality), M . Zaremski and an eye (Zaremskis’s personal mark). Width " 2½/ 6,2 cm. Condition: fine.

Elegant modernist screw-back earrings in sterling silver and jacaranda. Swedish, by Arvo Saarela. Marked AMS for Saarela, the assay mark of Enköping (the town where AS and his wife Maria ran their studio 1948-78), Swedish silver hallmark and D9 for 1954. Length "1¼/ 3,2 cm. Condition: fine.
