An unusual miniature Ming guardhouse with a guard attendant. Size: H. 26cm. W. 11cm x 12cm. Condition: No repairs. Attendant spear is missing probably made of wood

A rare Ironwood (Tieli) clapper with three beautiful pieces. The two inner clappers are tied together for sound. The sound of the wooden clappers sets the rhythm of the music as well as some of the actions of the performers. Age: 19th century. Size:L.27cm. Width at the widest point is 2.5cm. Condition: No repairs. Normal wear.

A nice assortment of glass beads made into a necklace. The beads date primarily from early Tang to Ming Dynasties. There are also some earlier beads mixed in. Size: Total length 70cm. or 27 inches.

Chinese nephrite jade mythical animal of a light celadon green with inclusions natural to the stone. The form is plump from its body to its limbs. The view from the bottom shows rounded legs with nicely carved claws on each paw. Size: L.5.5cm (2 inches) W. 3cm (1.18 inches)

An unusual Tang pottery of a standing dwarf wearing a robe and hat painted in original orange pigments. He has a stocky figure and a sweet countenance on his downward tilt head. He is full of character. Figures such as these are considered a symbol of good luck and are not easy to find.

A rare Ming wooden statue of the Daoist God of War, seated with one foot on a turtle, for immortality,and one on a snake, for supernatural power. The back has a little cut out area for relics and a handle for holding it for display. Size: H.32cm. W. 15cm. Condition: Most of the paint still remains, some flaking. There is a little piece missing from the right side of the ornament on his shoulder

Rare and endearing figure of a young boy disciple of Quanyin (the Goddess of Compassion) wearing a garment etched with a lotus flower - the symbol of Buddhism. He is often depicted near Quanyin with his hands in reverential prayer. The bronze is heavily cast and has wires imbedded underneath the pedestal, perhaps for attaching to a group of figures. A Rare Han Dynasty large oval glass bead in shades of very pale blue to dark sky blue. Most of the front side of the bead has developed an intriguing beige patina. There are bi-toned (dark green & light blue) curvey line designs which are imbedded in the glass surface. The light blue line is now iridescent with age. The bead has two holes in the center for stringing.
