Here is a lovely orchid brooch, made from richly-colored, unmarked but tested, 10kt yellow gold. It has excellent detailing, an old European cut diamond (approximately 1/3 of a carat), and a fan pearl. Weighing in at 2.6g, it measures 1” by about 7/8”, is very dimensional, and very Art Nouveau. It is unmarked, but we believe it was made in Newark, NJ based on its construction...

This necklace is a graceful garland of bezel-set, oval and round moonstone cabochons in silver. Loops of chain surround moonstone drops, giving the fluid drape of the necklace. The chains connecting the stones are low-grade silver. This is a turn-of-the-century piece and is 15" long

Here is a classic and simply gorgeous ring – when worn, the liveliness of the stones is riveting! A demantoid from the original mines in the Ural Mountains of Russia this big is very rare. This one is slightly oval, has the diagnostic horsetail inclusions, and is of an older cut. Here is a lovely and sparkly Victorian brooch, in the form of a crescent moon on a knife-edged bar. At each end of the bar is a ruby, and in the middle is a cluster of 8 diamonds centered by a pearl. The moon is set with 21 round and cushion cut rubies, and 19 diamonds. The diamonds are set in silver, and the rubies in 14k rose gold. This fantastic Edwardian watch chain is complete with swivel clip and T bar (most aren’t), and with terrific detail. It weighs a satisfying 31.7g, and tests as 14kt gold. 13-1/4” in length; the long decorated bar links measure 1-1/8” each. The T bar is 2” long. This elegant and beautiful band features a continuous wheat sheaf pattern (wheat signifies love and charity). It was made at the turn of the last century, according to jewelry historian Christie Romero (RIP). She told us it was probably made using a process called “die rolling.” It is marked “22ct”, “PLATINUM” (the platinum is under the gold, as you can see in the photos), and the maker’s mark is “B’s”. This beautiful Art Nouveau dragon doesn't hoard treasure--he is a treasure! The pin is 18 k gold (tested). The wings are edged in 7 rose-cut diamonds each and his tail is tipped with more rose-cut diamonds. He holds an Old English cut diamond in his beak. The pin is 1 3/8” X 1 ¼”. It has an early-style safety catch. The hinge is a replacement. There are no marks. Circa 1900.

This gorgeous band or ring is contemporary but in the style of the Art Nouveau movement. Blue enameled flowers (each centered by a diamond) are surrounded by pink enameled foliage, and streams of tiny diamonds. So pretty! 18k yellow gold (stamped 18k, with a maker's mark), it has a nice weight (8.5g), yet is elegant and graceful. It contains 30 points of a carat in diamonds (just under 1/3 of a carat). It is size 6, and is NOT resizable...

This elegant ring comes right out of the Art Deco era of Downton Abbey, The Great Gatsby, etc. The diamond is a very sparkly “transitional” cut diamond (a style that came between old European cut and modern round brilliant cut). This brilliant vintage squash blossom necklace is anecdotally from the 1950s but stylistically typical of the 1970s (the leaves surrounding the turquoise cabochons were popular at that period.) It is sterling silver and turquoise but unmarked. The 1/4” sterling beads are bench-made. The necklace is 27” in length, with a naja that measures 2 5/8 in width by 3 inches in length. Here is a beautiful, graceful necklace, featuring 2 large grass-green peridots. The central stone is cushion cut, and the dangle is pear shaped. It is decorated with a total of 28 seed pearls of colors that vary a little, as is usual, set into leaves & vine-like gold ribbons...

This graceful fairy was made in the Art Nouveau style. While contemporary, she still conveys the design ethos of a bygone era. Oddly, during the Nouveau era – roughly 1890–1915 - very few fairy jewels were made, except some very high-end ones by designers such as Lalique. This elegant and very rare ring weighs in at 11.5 grams. The top (measuring 5/8” x 5/8”) has a lovely Nouveau design, and no monogram – ready for your initials. (Finding a signet ring that is both Art Nouveau AND that has never been monogrammed is really unusual!) The top edges and shanks are beautifully carved with Nouveau swirls which are deeply incised. Here is a colorful butterfly realized in plique a jour enamel, silver, and paste stones. Measuring 1-5/8” x 7/8”, and weighing in at 5.6 g, it is just lovely! The butterfly wings are in hues of blue, green, and pink, and it has 2 red stones for eyes. It is set with 20 colorless paste stones, 19 of which have darkened over time. The central stone is much brighter, so it may be a replacement. There are some hairline cracks in the plique enamel, as is typical, also some black spots. We can’t ...

A delicately carved mother-of-pearl cameo is surrounded by rose-cut diamonds in this lovely pendant. It is 14 k yellow gold, and the diamonds are set in 14 k white gold. Ten larger and 47 smaller rose-cut diamonds surround the cameo, and nine more diamonds are pave-set on the bail. Overall size is 1 7/8" x 1" including the diamond encrusted bale. This lovely necklace was made in France, circa 1900. Measuring 17-5/8”, the delicate chain is adorned with 3 roses, each with leaves below. The rest of the chain consists of a further 12 fancy links. Each one measures 7/16”, and each rose is 3/4” x 5/8”. Roses have been symbolic of love and remembrance for centuries, as well as passion, purity, and happiness. It weighs 4.2 g. Here is a splendid locket depicting some sort of creature: zephyr? Lion? Or some other mythological critter? He has a diamond in his mouth, and his eyes are red stones (too small to ID). Measuring 1-1/8”, weighing 9.5g, and marked 10k, he is set up for 2 photographs with both celluloid and photo rings. Here is a striking ring centered by a navette-shaped lapis lazuli (traditionally a stone of royalty, also signifying truth and inner strength), with specks of pyrite for a bit of sparkle. The stone measures 3/4” N to S, and 1/4” E to W. The setting is made of 14kt yellow gold, in graceful curlicues.
