Original drawing/sketch created on the first page of the book "Andre Brasilier Lithographe" by Andre Brasilier (France, born 1929). This work is accompanied by an inscription that reads "Pour Samantha Finney en hommage bien amical" followed by the signature of the artist.

Original oil painting with encaustic by Andre Brechet (Switzerland, 1921-1993), circa 1950-1960, of an abstracted still life. A little gem in beautiful original condition. 16" by 18" in its original frame. Andre Brechet was a well known Swiss artist who studied in Paris with Andre Lhote and Fernand Leger.

We currently have a number of works (copper engravings, etchings, some with aquatint and embossing) by Andre Racz (Rumanian born American artist, 1916-1994). These works date from 1947 (from the Prophets of "Aleijadinho" Portfolio) and from 1949 (from the Mother and Child portfolio). Andre Racz came to the United States in 1939...

Original acrylic on panel by Arnold Mesches, measuring 11" by 23". This early work by Mesches (dated on the reverse 1959) retains its original frame and was purchased from the artist in 1960. Arnold Mesches is an extremely well-listed artist born in New York in 1923. He is known for having turned the files the FBI kept on him into works of "engage" art. He is well represented in museums around the country, among which the San Francisco Museum of Art, and the San Diego Museum of Art...

Original grisaille painting (with subtle touches of color) by Arthur Lidov (American, 1917-1990). In excellent original condition and in its original frame. Signed l.r. and dated 1946. 18" by 21" painting alone, 25" by 28" in its frame. A very poignant post-Holocaust work. Arthur Lidov is a major American artist who became famous as a medical and science illustrator...

Original watercolor by Bacia Gordon (Poland-USA, 1904-1977). Signed and dated 1965 l.r. Also titled: "The Ingathering in Israel: Moroccan Grandmother". Bacia Gordon was a Chicago artist who painted a series of works depicting the ingathering of exiles, mostly from Arab lands, in the state of Israel in the fifties and sixties. In its original frame and in excellent condition.

Original oil (50" x 40") by Bertha Ballou (American/ 1891-1978). Bertha Ballou studied at the ASL, the Boston School of Fine Art and in Florence. She settled in Spokane, WA. She is the daughter of Colonel C. Ballou, who was commandant at Fort George Wright in the 20's, and the painting is a portrait of Kitty, daughter of Colonel and Mrs. Marshall Candee, also of Fort George Wright (where the painting was purchased--at that time it was still Fort Wright College)...

Original watercolor by Bertram Goodman (American, 1904-1988), circa 1940. Offered in a period frame. Signed l.r. 17" by 12" painting alone, 29" by 23" in frame. Bertram Goodman was a WPA artist and muralist. His works are held in the Brooklyn Museum and the Allbright-Knox Art Gallery.

Original floral still life on canvas by Blasco Mentor (Spain, France, 1919-2003), dating probably from the sixties. Signed "Mentor" l.r. In excellent original condition and with original gallery frame. 16" by 13" canvas alone, 23" by 20" in its frame. Blasco Mentor was a well-known member of the "Ecole de Paris". His works are in the collection of the Musee d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris.

Original impressionist oil painting on board attributed to Charles Rosen (American, 1878-1950). This painting measures 14" by 18", 19" by 23" in its period frame. It is not signed, but bears the inscription "Charles Rosen, Woodstock, NY" in the artist's handwriting on the back of the period frame. This painting was purchased from the estate of a long time collector of Woodstock artists (it had originally been purchased from a Woodstock gallery)...

Original oil painting on canvas by well known artist Constantin Kluge (Latvia-France, 1912-2003), circa 1950, depicting the Conciergerie and the flower market with a view of the Seine and the Paris skyline. In excellent original condition and with original gallery frame. 21 1/2" by 25 1/2" painting alone, roughly 30" by 35" framed. Signed L.L. Provenance: Roberts Gallery in Toronto (label still attached to the stretcher)...

Oil on canvas by David Day, dating from 1948. The painting is signed and dated L.R. and is in excellent condition. Contemporary Arts and Crafts gilt frame. David Day studied nude painting in the California studio of Lorser Feitelson in the fourties.

Original bronze sculpture by David McFall, famed Scottish sculptor (1919-1988) created in 1973. Numbered 3/8 (although we believe only 3 or 4 were cast), signed "McFall", and with the foundry mark of "Fiorini & Carney Founders London". In excellent original condition. Original green patina--although much more muted in person than in the photos. Roughly 11 1/2" (width) by 7 1/4" (depth) by 9" (height). Please ask for additional photos if needed. From an Atlanta estate.

Original drypoint etching printed in two colors by David B. Milne (Canada, 1882-1953). In excellent original condition. Pencil signed lower left. Circa 1929-1930. As issued in The Colophon, New York, 1931. David Milne is an important Canadian modernist.

Large original mid-century woodcut by Davira Fisher (USA, Cincinnati, 1918-1986). This work is signed in pencil by the artist L.R. Dated 1960, titled "Lonely Trees", and numbered 18/100. Framed. Davira Fisher is a well listed African American artist from Cincinnati aptly known for her woodblock prints, often depicting the Mount Adams neighborhood of her city.

Original oil painting on illustration board by famed American illustrator, muralist, and painter Dean Cornwell (1892-1960). This painting measures roughly 10" by 11" (18" by 19" in its frame). It is signed "DC" lower right. It still bears verso the original gallery label from Galleries Maurice Sternberg in Chicago, as well as a brass plaque on the frame. Circa 1940. Possibly a study for a mural. It depicts the construction of a church in the Americas. In excellent condition.

Original oil painting on canvas by Delos Palmer (USA, 1890-1960). This painting is signed lower right and appears to be dated 1946. Well framed and in excellent condition. Palmer studied with George Bellows at the Art Students League. He is known for his portraits and his illustration work (pulp fiction covers). He also worked on murals in Connecticut for the WPA Federal Arts Project. 25" by 21" in its frame.
