Hollow dry lacquer form with finely sculpted features such as the elaborate ushnisha atop his head. The elongated earlobes touch the shoulders, indicative of the time period it was initially created. Antique hard-carved wooden duyo bowl, with two smaller pockets branching from the main dish. All solid hardwood and heavy. "Mickey Mouse Tray." From the Philippines. Early 19th Century. Size: 19" L x 16.5" W x 4.5" H

Wonderful large carved wooden face of a man. His mouth is open wide and whiskers splay outward. He has a wide nose and large eyes. He appears to be wearing an oval shaped hat on which is carved an animal of some sort with long striped tail and clawed feet. The wood is beautifully worn from years of weather and rain. There are traces of white and yellow paint. Thailand. Early 19th century. Size: 24" high x 17" wide x 3 1/2" deep.

Unusual secondary burial jar carved of white limestone in the form of a person. Wonderfully sculpted with the head and shoulders making up the lid portion of the jar. The body of the jar is carved with the person's arms in low relief while the rest of the jar maintains an ovoid form. Kulaman Plateau, Cotobatu, Philippines.

Antique wooden lusong (mortar). This lusong was used with a lomok (pestal) by the B'laan people to pound rice in order to separate the grain from the husks. The B'laan people are indigenous of Southern Mindanao in the Philippines. This lusong is especially large and beautifully carved of a single piece of hardwood. Size: 24 1/2" high x 21 1/4" wide diameter.

Antique Thai sandstone statue fragment of the Ayutthaya style Buddha's torso. One arm remains attached to the body while the full statue sits in the lotus meditation pose. The torso is affixed to a custom iron stand. 16-17th century. Very dramatic and unusual piece. Size: 14.5" H x 14" W (on stand) 20.5" H

Antique Tibetan bronze statue of Ganesha, with an arch of flames around his head, a mouse beneath his foot, four arms holding an axe, a noose, and a delicacy. His only empty hand performs the abhaya mudra, a gesture of protection. Traces of vermillion pigment. The bottom of the statue is lined with metal embossed with a flower. 17th century. Size: 6" H x 3.5" W

Antique Tibetan clay statue of wrathful Dorje Shugden mounted on the back of a white lion with an arch of flames around him, painted in polychrome pigments of green, orange, red, yellow, brown, and gilt. The figure seated atop a lion is standard for the Gelug tradition. This figure / deity is considered mischievous by the Dalai Lama. The sect that worships this type of piece is interestingly not recognized by the Dalai Lama. 19th century Size: 8" H, 6" W

Antique Tibetan hardwood cabinet, hand-painted with bright red, blue, yellow, and green lacquer pigment. Eight panels decorated the front with painted peonies and spiraling border design, a large panel underneath with geometric design. Very difficult to find. Great original condition, with vibrant original colors.

Antique Tibetan trunk with black and red lacquer, hand painted imagery of butterflies and flowers. The interior is very roomy with a round locking front. The base is carved with panels depicting flowers. Size: 29.25" H, 41.5" W, 26.5" D

Beautiful Rare and Unusual Tibetan cabinet with wonderful painted front panels of various beasts roaming grassy plains, some with piles of fruit around them, each panel has a red border with green swirl designs. The cabinet's frame is a lovely deep red hardwood, painted with flowers on creeping vines. Original finish and condition. Early 20th century Size: 44" height, 40.5" width, 19" depth
