This pair of porcelain vases was produced in England by Royal Worcester in 1879. Hand painted birds are done by the artist John Hopewell. The date letter indicates this year. They are 8 ¼ “ tall, 3” wide and 4 ¾” across the handles. Asian styled handles and feet are an inspiration of the aesthetic movement. A raucous array of berries, butterflies, birds and flowers fill the space on all four sides of the vases...

A 12 ¼ inch (31 cm) diameter blue and white delft charger made at Lambeth, London toward the end of the 18th century. The “Chinese garden” is well executed as is the border on the lip. A plate with the same decoration is at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

Condition: chips around the edge and a few places on the lip where the glaze has flaked off.

An English stoneware plate, salt-glazed and enameled in rust-red, blue and green, c 1800 or somewhat earlier. Diameter "9½/ 24 cm. Condition: a small glaze-burst to rim, otherwise fine.

A fine and early Dr. Wall Worcester porcelain cup of slightly tapering octagonal form with each of the 8 sides decorated with a flowering plant or insects. The graceful handle is of double scroll form with a pointed thumbrest.

Excellent condition with bright sharp colors, and no chips, cracks, or staining. The height is 2" and the diameter at the top is 2 1/4".

Labels are present from the well known Shaw collection and the 1998 Albert Amor exhibit of the Vincent Townrow collection.

This Victorian copper luster pitcher practically dances with joy for the colorful flowers strung around the blue band of its bulbous form. Beading borders the blue and rim of the pitcher. The saucers measure 5 ¾ inches in diameter and the cups are 6 inches across the handles and 2 inches high. The cups feature graceful scalloped pedestal bases and split branch handles. A pair of coffee cans, English, Staffordshire c 1810. Lavender blue and gilt with a vase and palmetto scroll motif. The edge of one can is slightly flaring and the lavender tone is a little lighter. Still, they are intended as a pair as proved by the gilders mark, which is the same on both cans, three plus one dot. Height "2 ½ / 6.5 cm. Condition: fine.

A pair of elaborate porcelain vases with large leaves in turquoise and gilt opening from a narrow base which rests on four wide feet. The base and feet encrusted with vegetation and occasional flowers which also support a large rising stem on either side with roses on one side and blue, orange garden flowers and possibly small lilies on the other side. Hard to imagine putting flowers that wouldn’t clash into these vases. Height 7 3/8 inches (19 cm), width 6 ¼ inches (16 cm) and depth 5 inches...
