Chinese Han Dynasty (206 B.C.- A.D. 220) belt hook. Made of bronze and gilded over entire surface. This belt hook has two Taotie masks, one on either side. The end of the hook itself is shaped in the form of a tiny chimera. Comes with stand.

Antique Chinese bronze ding, tripod ritual vessel. Large swooping handles extend from either side of the relief decorated neck. The round body is supported by three feet, each decorated with the head of a horned animal. Great patination and mineral encrustations.

A beautiful rare etched paitong basin depicting court ladies playing chess in the center. Around the inside of the basin there are scenes of scholars, artists, falconer etc. Around the inside edge is etched the "shou" characters representing good luck and fortune.

Condition: No repairs. A small casting crack on the inside that does not go all the way through.
Pewter and bronze tea box imitating a drum. Decor incised with a chisel representing peony flowers on the sides, a symbol of longevity. This tripod Chinese incense burner is an early 19th century product. It is 8 ¾” high and 8” wide (measured from both handles). The three legs are the form of Chinese mystical beast’s 饕餮 (Tao Tie) face and claws. The two handles are the image of Pi Xiu 貔貅 and the top is a form of Foo Lion. The body is covered with floral designs; cloud patterns appear on the top rim of the burner. There is an honorable “Qian Long Nian Made” mark on the bottom...
A cast bronze vase. Finely executed. The finish is nice, made with a lathe and a scraper. Very elegant decoration of chains and tassels inlaid in gold and silver. At the neck a frieze of stylized dragons.
Beautiful old patina, good condition, no restoration.

A long-necked original bronze vase with a rounded body. The top of the slender neck has a ring midway and swells out at the mouth in the shape of a garlic bulb, giving the vase its special name. It has a nice aging patina. It can be cleaned but I wouldn't recommend it.

Antique Chinese bronze censer in the form of a horse. Gracefully cast with head bent toward the ground, ears forward and with a friendly expression The oval shaped top portion of his saddle is removable and has a pierced design on the seat where the incense smoke would have escaped. This is further emphasized by the cast design of swirling smoke on the horses saddle cloth.
