An attractive pair of porcelain joss stick holders, enamelled 'on biscuit', depicting two 'buddhistic' guardian lions. These items were made, circa 1800, during the reign of the Jiaqing emperor (1796 - 1820) for export and for the domestic market. One has a small piece of decoration missing above the right ear and has enamel loss to the right eye brow. No further damages and no restoration...
Two rare porcelain lids with moulded decoration and glazed with a pale blue-green Qingbai glaze. Yuan Dynasty, fourteenth century. These 2 lids, excavated in Indonesia, do have a Diameter of 6,8 cm. They perfectly would fit for 2 Qingbai glazed Yuan jarlets with a moulded deoration, and with a mouth rim diameter between minimal 5,2 cm. and maximal 6,2 cm. The perfect match ("marriage") would be with jarlets with a mouth rim diameter of 5,8 cm. Condition: Perfect.

The design of butterflies and melons is seldom encountered on Chinese porcelain, found only on a few Qianlong pieces. This shaped dish I feel is from the early 19th century but the ‘orange peel’ surface of the porcelain is often found on Qianlong export pieces. Like the Qianlong painted melons these have a pronounced ‘spotting’ in either famille rose or gold enamel on the fruits.

From our Chinese Blue and White Collection, a fine Qianlong Period (1736-1795) large export porcelain dish or small charger, depicting "Three Friends of Winter," pine, prunus, and bamboo, in a fenced garden setting with floral sprigs and cash diaper motifs on the border. The reverse is plain.
This is an unusually well-executed example of 18th century export ware...
Chinese export plate, decoration in Famille rose enamels of flowers and finger lemon. The well with an iron red border in European Rococo style and the background with greenish shade (more so than is seen on the photos). Diameter "9/ 23 cm. Condition: two chips to the rim and a glaze crack to the border (cf photos).
