Museum quality, because there was a bowl with a quite similar decoration in the Percival David Foundation which is now in the collection of the British Museum. ( please have a look at the last image ) Very fragile potted, a amazing Cobalt blue. Ming Dynasty Jiajing Period ( 1522 - 1566 ) Diameter : 6,6 cm. H : 4,3 cm. Condition : Chipped, very fine short hairline that however nothing changes in the fact, that this is a amazing piece.

Antique Chinese hanging scroll of a "Courtesan Playing the Flute" signed Qiu Ying. This painting is of two courtesans waiting to entertain the emperor. The emperor would be seated in front of a screen of dragons. The empress would be seated in front of a scene with phoenixes. The courtesan on the right plays the flute while the courtesan on the left holds a fan. The skill of Qui Ying can be seen in the rendering of the sheer quality of the fan, the courtesan's sleeve is visible behind it...

A good Yuan dynasty longquan celadon guan jar, rounded side with low tapering neck and wide open mouth rim, jar decorated with carved peony scroll motif, lower part with rising petal motif, unglazed foot ring with red cooling oxidation.
Jar is in very good condition good glaze only with small shallow chip at inner rim, no crack, no restoration, overall perfect condition.
Size: 21.5 cm height, 30 cm diameter on widest point.

Ca. early 1800s

Glazed overall with a blue-tinged clear glaze with underglaze iron oxide coloring the peach and portions of the monkey. The base is unglazed. Molded with a large opening for brushes and two smaller apertures for holding flower stems. Very good condition, minor wear but no damage or repairs.

Decorated overall in a rich cobalt blue underglaze design with two cartouches depicting various auspicious symbols. The secondary design is that of prunus blossoms against a solid blue background. The well-potted gourd-form vases are decorated with overglaze green, yellow, aubergine and red enamels, characteristic of 18th Century, but the paste appears to be consistent with the 19th Century. There are no chips or restorations, however, one of the vases has an old hairline extending from the mouth and is approximately three inches long. The other vase is undamaged. There are tiny areas of kiln grit on each vase and a bit of grit adhering to the footrings of each...
