A small rare Song Dynasty jarlet with crackle glaze. Yellowish, off-white/cream color glaze covers inside of jar and outside to near base. Small flaws in glaze noted on images. Height 1 and half inches.
Superb chinese fluorite carving of Guanyin with a weight of 2,1 kg, made around 1750. It is Jade green in areas and almost clear in others and it shows the numerous flaws running through so stone typical of so-called green quartz (actually fluorite). It is raised on a hardwood stand, which is forming the torso of the Guanyin.
Wonderful and unusual display piece with a cubistic aesthetic - definitely singular.

An interesting set of two Chinese Canton paintings depicting two festival scenes that were possibly seen on the streets in China during the Qing dynasty. The top view depicts a figure riding a horse and people are flocking to receive blessings. The bottom scene is showing a theatrical troupe passing by. A pair of two different paintings depicting different views of people either engaged in different activities. One scene appears to show a soldier like figure coming back or meeting a lady and another scene is depicting a family at leisure. Particular elements have elements similar to Chinese theatrical costuming and designs. The techniques are more Western since these works were made in Guangzhou in the Canton concessions. Antique Chinese snuff bottle made of peking glass (Tao Liao Ping), with an orange background and white and bright green glass overlay, hand carved into the shape of flowers on a vine. The artist would have started with a single-colored glass,dipped the bottle into the white and green glass to create layers, and then carved away the excess. 19th century

This deep bowl is stoutly potted, being rather heavy toward the base, with the wall thinning gradually to the slightly flaring rim. It rests on a tall, thick footring, with a deep base that is glazed down to the dense, white porcelain paste that is exposed with some kiln grit adhering. DESCRIPTION: A fine, large Chinese boxwood toggle in the shape of a Chinese coin with four script characters on each side surrounding the square hole. Around the edge, various plant and animal forms are carved in high relief, including a flower, bird, squirrel and bat. The suspension cord, connecting it to an object such as a tobacco pouch, would have been strung through the openings under the bat's wings. Wonderful patina, excellent condition, and dating from the 1800's or earlier...

Chinese antique carving of gourds, made from agate. Gourds are interesting because they have many special meanings to the Chinese. The Chinese would scoop the insides clean and use the hard outer shell as a bottle for medicines, wine, and elixirs. The vines of a bottle-gourd are pronounced as "man" or "wan", which also means "10,000" in Chinese. Because the plant has many seeds, it was symbolic for fertility (10,000 seeds/children)...

Two playful monkeys climbing on a large peach, carved from antique agate. Monkeys are commonly depicted in Chinese art as holding a peach as a symbol for wealth and a long life because the word for "monkey" is a homophone to the word for "nobleman". They often call this "feng hou bao shou" which can mean both "crazy monkey clutching [a peach]" as well as "may you become a salaried official and embrace longevity". 19th century

Beautiful antique Chinese sleeveless robe with bright green ribbon closure, made of light pink silk with a robin's egg blue silk interior lining. Both the front and back of the robe features gold thread circular designs with two young maidens relaxing, surrounded by flowers.
