Antique Japanese set of 9 Imari ware chargers, beautiful and rare, unusual dark blue and orange colors in central lotus leaves motif with gold details, striking scrolling designs and pheonixes in light blues, reds and green, each is signed on back, Meiji Period (1868-1912).

This polychrome piece was made in Imari with Kakiemon-style in last 18th century. It has been transmitted from generation to generation in Japan with wooden box.

Very beautiful and rare large porcelain bowl with polychrome enamels with very finely made decorations of birds, florals and mountains, Fuji... The quality of production is remarkable and characteristic of Kyoto pieces where the decorations are made by the greatest craftsmen Satsuma vases in particular are the most sought after. The size of Plate: 7 1/4" Dia x 1 1/8". Pretty Japanese Ko Imari Plate. The plate has blue underglaze design with red, gold design in the center. There is two design around with total three windows and three strip decoration. One with Crane and Pine tree with gold karakusa design. Other stripe design with red Karakusa and green geometric design. All of design are done with very good detail work. The condiiton of plate very good, no chip, no crack and no hairline...
Late 19th century Nabeshina porcelain portrayal of Mt Fuji against a celadon ground. This signed 7" plate is in very good condition with only minor surface scratches from use.
A Kakiemon style porcelain six lobed dish. Cobalt blue underglaze and red, green, yellow, blue and black outline overglaze enamel decoration of 'three friends of winter' (pine, bamboo and prunus). Assymetry of decoration, as well as palette, typical of Kakiemon type porcelains. But the quality of decoration (though good inside the dish), potting and mark speaks to a more general 'Arita' attribution. Some kiln grit adheres inside the foot rim. 19th century...
An 8.5" blue underglazed Imari bowl painted in gilt, orange and blue. The center medallion features a ship, fierce dragons prowl the inner and outer sides of this bowl.
Condition: Gold paint on the upper rim is worn. No chips, hairlines or repairs.
