A very rare Yuan dynasty 13th-14th century blue and white Meiping, with very well shaped, decorated with three figures to the center among the garden view. flanked to upper side surrounded by classic scrolls and continuously lotus patterns, lower part with classic scrolls and lotus panels.

Full cast roe deer with elongated body, the curved neck slightly prone. Pointed tail. The head small and pointed, horns and ears cut out in an X-shape. Thin legs with kinked hooves. Right hind leg broken off.

A good Chinese boxwood carving of Budai. Three children clamor over him. A bat appears on his right hand. Bone and horn inlays detail his eyes and teeth. Rich, mellow old patina. Nice grain figure in places. Late Qing to early Republic. Ca 1900. Very good condition with typical minor distress checks in the old hardwood surface. Remnants of old label. Height, about 4 5/8 inches high.

Antique Japanese small ko tansu (personal chest) made of kiri (paulownia) wood with unusual and beautiful persimmon wood edging on the front. Large bowl with scenery of a "Long Elisa" and a servant in a garden scene. Inside the bowl four different flower sprays. Very nice composition. Condition: The bowl has four hairlines from the rim and one of the has a chip connected. The rim is strengthened during the 19th century with a gilt brass band. No further restorations. Measurement: diameter 23.5 cm = 9.3 in hight 11 cm = 4.3 in

It is 1.9 inches (4.9 cm) tall by 9.4 inches (24 cm) wide. It weighs 1.1 lb.

It has dark spots, rubbing of gold and paint, skip glazes, and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos).

From our Japanese Collection, a good Meiji Period (1868-1912) imari lobed dish, executed in traditional palette using iron red, orange, blue, green, and gilt on a white porcelain body, depicting a stylized chrysanthemum head motif in the center well, along with dragon, phoenix, and floral motifs in the border reserves. An unpretentious but well-made traditional example.
