Wooden carving of Daruma or Bodhidharma, a Buddhist monk who lived in the 5th or 6th century CE. He is depicted as ill-tempered and is shown here with a deep frown as he meditates. This Daruma carving is painted with red, bronze, and gold lacquer paint and appears to have once been mounted as the top and bottom have holes carved into them and a metal rod going through it to be affixed to a structure, most likely a lamp. The front of this Tibetan Flint Pouch is decorated with silver and bronze ornamentation and an inset coral bead. The back is decorated with bronze buttons to protect the leather from excessive wear. The pouch still has its original leather strap which would have been used to secure the pouch to the wearers belt.

Flint was an essential and valuable item for nomadic and indigenous cultures and as such was frequently carries in pouch specifically designed for its use.

An antique Japanese Kuruma Tansu known as a storage chest on wheels made of Keyaki (Zelkova), Kiri (Chestnut) and Suginoki (Cryptomeria) woods. Hidden behind the two sliding doors are two small drawers and a split level shelf. Situated below the doors are two side by side drawers for added storage. The sides of the chest feature cross rib supports and through mortise and tenon joinery for additional strength and support.

A Finely Molded Shallow Celadon Dish: Korea, Koryo period, 12th Century, This is a fine celadon glazed shallow bowl with a six lobed rim, the interior rim incised with a single line and finely molded with a large peony on the interior well, applied overall with a clear greenish blue celadon glaze with three spur marks on the base.
