This is Yogi used in the Tohoku district of Edo period. This is Yogi which a rich landscape gardener used. As for this, a pattern of the lower part is a bamboo fence. This has the W kirimon which twined Tang grass around the upper part. As for this, cotton is spun by hand. The bamboo fence which this is the indigo plant light and shade, and was drawn is very unusually precious. And the bamboo fence is drawn from the left to the right with a curve to be sunk. The vines of a bottle-gourd are pronounced as "man" or "wan", which also means "10,000" in Chinese. Because the plant has many seeds, it was symbolic for fertility (10,000 seeds/children)...

Late Qing hand carved turquoise snuff bottle with bok choy and radish along with an ant, cicada, grasshopper and cricket. The workmanship and details is superbly done including the insects, having very fine details to the legs, antennae and bodies. Presented on a rosewood stand, this snuff bottle has a wonderful color and patina and is one of the coolest bug type carved snuff bottles that we have encountered in some time. Le buddha is placed on a lotus-shaped plinth and leans against a glory sculpted with volutes. The base and the glory are from the Edo period.The Buddha is probably older, it is constructed differently,having a thick solid layer of reddish-brown lacquer visible where the worn gold powder has gone and is much more worn.The face and torso are atypical of those of the Edo period...

Here is an ancient marble weight which was carved as a hare in crouching posture.
It was believed being used as a stone weight in 6th century to 9th century.
Well carved in vivid look, the piece was left on the suface with ancient residues in the crevices of the limbs.
The stone quality was in greasy and smooth feel.
It was well preserved despite some defects on four corners of the base...

This is a museum quality example of a very rare word type from the ancient middle East.It has a hollow cast, mushroom shaped pommel and a heavy, crescent shaped guard. The blade is long and heavy with several blood grooves cast into it. There are no signs of repair or restoration to this amazing piece of ancient history. The overall length of this exquisite piece is 55 cm.

This is a large size Liao dynasty (907–1125 A.D.)moulded polychrome earthenware dish with leaded glaze. It rests on a short foot rim, a slightly flat everted base before rising upwards. It has a simple floral motive. On the underside, the glaze is in dark brown in colour, all the way down just before the short foot rim exposing the earthenware.
