A very attractive tall pottery figure of a standing female or deity, Magna Grecia, ca. 3rd. century BC.
The figure is standing with a slight bend in her left knee and one arm above her head perhaps correcting her large headress. She is veiled and clad in elegant garments.

A fine style cylinder seal carved in an attractive beige-yellowish stone, probably jasper, Mesopotamia under the Achaemenid Empire, c. 7th.-5th. century BC.
Sharp low relief depiction of the Great King wrestling with winged lions with bearded human heads!
Size: c. 26 mm. tall.
Ex. Danish Private Collection, this seal aquired in the early 1990s.
The vessel features a reel-shaped body with stepped foot and a flange. The doomed top with the head of Medusa at center. Medusa is rendered with a round face and curls ending in snake heads.
The pyxis is made in one piece and open at the bottom. The piece was not intended for concrete use and served as richly decorated burial object.
The surface shows remains of the original white engobe with gilded areas.

Incense burner in copper alloy (cast bronze and embossed and cut brass). Oriental work from the 19th century or before. Probably Ottoman but maybe Syrian? The hinge was consolidated by a riveted piece of metal and one of the three feet was replaced as one of the photos shows? Relics of the Nile is pleased to present this wonderfully detailed funerary cone from a known tomb in the Theban Necropolis. This is cone number 576 from tomb number TT 295 for the scribe Paroy, also known as Djehutymose. The cone is wonderfully inscribed and detailed with clear glyphs. Djeyhutymose was a scribe under Thuthmosis IV or Amenhotep III during the New Kingdom in Egypt. The cone itself measures 3 1/8" in diameter and 2.5" deep.

An attractive and substantial cylinder seal carved in blakc Haematite, Isin-Larsa period, Old Babylonian, ca. 2000 - 1800 BC.
The seal is carved with an introduction of the king to standing sun god with saw. Another worshipper or lesser deity is also depicted and there's and interesting large emblematic staff between them.

Very interesting heavy bronze bow of a Gothic design and the stem and bit made of iron. A very complicated bit of an S-shape.
The key was probably from a money box or jewellery box, due to the complicated bit and heavy design.

The ring a typical compressed Roman design and the carnelian stone engraved with a depiction of the Dioskouroi.

A rare, attractively patinated, small bronze figure depicting the Ancient Egyptian cat goddess, Bast. This item was made in Egypt during the Late Dynastic Period (664-332 BC).
Condition: much of the surface is oxidized and is degraded in places and there is extensive malachite encrustation.
4cm (1.6 inches) high.
A large and well-preserved tanged bronze sword, c. 2nd. millenium BC.
The style with the thick mid-rib and two rivets in the corner of the blade is known from the Assyrian period, and the present specimen provincially made around the lands of the Caspian Sea. On this specimen one rivet is still remaining. Very attractive and impressive!

Condition: Choice - very fine green patina and good metal quality - very few losses and roghness to the edge.
