This is a late 19th century nephrite carving. It depicts a reclined lioness turning her head back to watch her baby trying to climb on her back. It is 1 ½” high, 2 ¾” long and 1 ¼” wide. It is in great condition.

Unfortunately the images are not able to show the beauty of this small jade in the form of a mythical beast ( bixie ). There is a hole trough the piece so that it is possible to wear this piece as a necklace like a "Dzi Bead". Pale, yellowish "celaon jade", Song Dynasty. L : 3,5 cm. Condition : Perfect.

Antique Chinese jade carved into the image of a stout, smiling man, who appears to be a god or heavenly being due to his large earlobes. He holds a lingzhi sprig over his left shoulder and gestures Buddhist mudra with his hands to expel demons. Size: 2.75" height, 1.25" width

Beautiful jade jar with elaborately detailed carvings of a large taotie motif, or "gluttonous ogre mask", a face motif without a lower jaw area, on its front and back, two carved handles shaped like beasts' heads with agate rings, carved chevron designs above and below the lid, topped with a floral finial. Very well crafted Chinese carved jadeite deer; sitting beneath a fruiting peach tree; some apple green coloration, late 19th/early 20th century period. Size; Height of carving is 3 3/4 inches, no condition issues noted.

This is a beautifully carved nephrite jade ring whose exterior is encircled by a sinuous dragon. The interior diameter is one-inch (1"); exterior diameter is 1-3/4" at the widest point. The stone is a medium celadon color with tiny areas of a darker inclusion. This is an authentic product of the Qing dynasty, not a later product misleadingly labeled "Qing," and it is guaranteed to be of the period...

This is an authentic example from the Qijia culture, dating to 2100-1600 BCE, of a well-known type of ritual axe, known as a "Yue." It measures 4" in length and 3-3/8" at its widest point (10cm X 8.5cm). The surface has a beautiful, smooth polish; the "blade" has a beveled edge and has been sharpened, although it shows no signs of actual use. The large hole has been conically drilled. The stone is a variegated mid-green with some darker inclusions. In all, a very beautiful piece...

This is a genuine, archaic Chinese nephrite axe or Gui scepter. The surface has the expected smooth, "waxy" feel to it. The end is sharpened (which leads me to think it was made as a prestige axe as opposed to a scepter, although the literature seems to view pieces such as this one as either/both an axe and a Gui scepter; e.g. Rawson in Chinese Jade - I've included photos of the pieces listed there for reference)...

18th Century Chinese Russet White Jade Carved Boy Pendant

It is 1.7 inches (4.5 cm) wide by 2.25 inches (5.9 cm) in length and 16. 2mm thick. It is 41.9 gram.

It has inclusions, flea bite chips, and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos).

A very high quality white nephrite pendant carved as a figurine of He-he Erxian (和合二仙）. According to Wikipedia: He-He Er Xian, translated as the Immortals of Harmony and Union and as the Two gods of Harmony and Union, are two Taoist immortals. They are popularly associated with happy marriages. He and He are typically depicted as boys holding a lotus flower (荷, hé) and a box (盒, hé）. The pendant is in excellent condition and carved with superior craftsmanship...

A very finely carved oval-shaped white jade falconer's plaque depicting a five-clawed dragon amongst scrolling foliage. This item was probably made in China in the 18th Century during the reign of the Qianlong Emperor (1736-1795). Condition - very good - there are two chips to the reverse side (please see enlargement 2), no further damages or losses...

Antique Chinese large lapis stone carved into a lidded bottle with highly raised dragon-like chimera, topped with a lid in the form of a hu-bird, beautiful lapis ranging from dark to light and mottled all over with areas of quartz, 19th century. Size: 7" high x 4" wide.

White stone has a very pale celadon tinge and some translucency where the carving is thin. The curving shaft terminating in a dragon’s head has a smaller chilong winding its way toward the larger dragon’s head. The underside is carved with a button for attachment. It is well-carved and polished and in very good condition. Acquired 20 years ago in a Richmond, Va. Estate.

Length: 3 3/8 in.

This is a large amulet with two holes for suspension and was most probably used as a chest piece (pectoral). The polish is so spectacularly well done that the piece feels as smooth as silk when held. The large central hole gently tapers on both sides. It measures a full 4" in length and is 2-1/2" in height. Roughly 1/8" thick. In color a varied green nephrite with a minimal residue of the polishing material remaining on the surface.

Disk decorated inside with carved geometric and interlaced designs. White jade, with rusty spots. China, Qing Dynasty period or earlier. Diameter: 3" (7,5 cm). Very good condition.

A finely carved and beautiful handle from a brush, Song style, but perhaps later 19th. century, we're not certain.

Carved with animals and scrolls, a small loop at the top.

Middle 19th century Chinese white jade rectangular lock on a carved wood stand with incised decoration on both sides. One side has four Chinese characters which read ¡°prosperity for entire family¡±; the other side is a peony design in the center with a garden scene around it. The jade is 3 ½ inches wide, 2 ¾ inches high (5 inches tall with stand) and ¼ inches thick. There is a chip on the corner of the stand. It is in excellent condition.
