18th century small Chinese agate carving in a shape of a double gourd with tassels, was used to be sawn onto clothes. Beautiful carnelian agate with wonderful finish. Height 11/16 inches (18 mm).

1800s

This tubular shaped holder is partially hollowed on one end in order to receive a peacock feather decoration. The jade is a white tone with white mottling and a very slight hint of green when held to the light. It has a soft polish and even wear from use. Good condition.

Small iron in cast bronze, relief decoration in the traditional archaic style, exceptionally part of the handle is in jadeite. Usually these irons are simply made of bronze because they were utilitarian objects, which is why it is curious that this one has this precious contribution. White jade jewelry representing a phoenix in flight among plants. The vigorous, angular sculpture and multi-level carving are typical of the period of the 15th-16th century during the Chinese Ming dynasty. However, it could be older. The color of jade is grayish white, it was inlaid on the lid of a pretty precious wooden box with beautiful veins, which contributed to protecting it. Two malachite flower vase are inlaid on either side of the jade pendant...

Antique Chinese stone seal. The stone is variegated in color with black, grey, white, and pink colors thorughout. It has a small snail carved on it. There is a small inscription at the bottom, old red pigment from when it was used. It measures 2"5/8" tall 1" deep1.5" wide.

Late 18th to early 19th century carving in a shape of archaic Chinese chime stone. Beautiful celadon color material, true nephrite jade, wonderful work, in perfect condition. Length 2.3 inches, weight 15.4 grams.

Chinese miniature quartz sculpture of a a woman with an attendant from the 19th century. The woman is robed and holding a flowering branch in her right hand, a basket in her left. The figure to her right is kneeling, with agate base. It measures 2" long, 1.25" deep, 2.5" tall.

This cylindrical seal is fashioned from a very pale yellowish-green soapstone and incised on one end with archaistic characters encircled by a shallow incised ring. Otherwise, the seal is undecorated and has a pleasant, satiny sheen from age and use. There are numerous old small chips and wear to the edges of the carved end but not on the characters. This piece has the mellow appearance of an object that was used over a long period of time...

Hard stone cup, probably Jadeite. The more or less pale nuanced ocher colored stone is stained with a pretty green and veined with rust. The cut is very thin which required good control. Uneven grinding and a soft sheen suggest that this cut is ancient, difficult to date with certainty. Chinese work from the 19th century or before. Size:85x68x15mm Good condition.
