Chinese Brass Lock and Key with Chinese Character signed inside, Ca. 1900 or before, outside measurement(3 1/4" long, 1 1/4" high, 7/8" deep, inside measurement(2 1/8" long, 3/8" high under stick, 7/8" deep), the round stick is 1/4" diameter, old age green patina or stain on brass, and in good working condition.

A long-necked original bronze vase with a rounded body. The top of the slender neck has a ring midway and swells out at the mouth in the shape of a garlic bulb, giving the vase its special name. It has a nice aging patina. It can be cleaned but I wouldn't recommend it.

A Tibetan bronze flaying knife or chopper with a curved steel blade used in rituals by Buddhist Vajrayana priests. The flayer was a symbolic instrument and never used to really chop or flay people. Hence, the blade is dull. The blade has oxidized on both sides and there is some verdigris inside the top of the handle. Measures 6.75 inches x 7" high. Dates 1800's.
A collection of seven types of fruits including mango, persimmon, pomegranate and cherry, star fruits all finely rendered with leaves and branches, hand crafted in repousse silver with hyperealism. Fruit to be displayed with the wish for fertility as they are known for holding many seeds.

Wings and tail are decorated in champleve technique with red, green, blue, turquoise and yellow enamels with designs referring to ancient Chinese bronzes. The wings of the creature form a removable cover that fits perfectly. Excellent quality casting - see the head with incised lines around its beak and eyes, and detailing of its webbed feet...
An unusual bone handle dagger decorated with a turquoise stone and silver a copper fittings. The sheath is made of silver with a woven silver chain attached to the knife. There is piece of "stingray skin" wrapped around the middle. There is one turquoise stone decorating the sheath with two red (resin) stones that originally were red coral.The blade is made of steel. A beautiful rare etched paitong basin depicting court ladies playing chess in the center. Around the inside of the basin there are scenes of scholars, artists, falconer etc. Around the inside edge is etched the "shou" characters representing good luck and fortune.

Rare and endearing figure of a young boy disciple of Quanyin (the Goddess of Compassion) wearing a garment etched with a lotus flower - the symbol of Buddhism. He is often depicted near Quanyin with his hands in reverential prayer. The bronze is heavily cast and has wires imbedded underneath the pedestal, perhaps for attaching to a group of figures. It is 8.2 inches (20.8 cm) tall by 8.6 inches (21.8 cm) in length and 4 inches (10.1 cm) wide. It is 2455 gram (5.4 Lb).
It has pitting, firing holes, small chips and missing 2 sticks at the saddle, loss of patina, oxidation, and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos).
