This is artistically hand painted antique Qing Dynasty Rose Mandarin plate, made between the years 1840 and 1880 exclusively for export. The interior densely enameled and gilt with two panels depicting figures wearing characteristic Chinese costumes gathering on a terrace. Two of the segments enameled with flowers and birds.
This is a real Chinese porcelain of the 19th century, and not the modern reproductions.

19th Century Tongzhi Marking Chinese Famille Rose Decorated Square Bowl 同治

It is 2.85 inches (7. cm) tall by 5.5 inches (14 cm) long and wide. It is 1.8 Lb.

It has rubbing of gold and paint, skip glazes, glaze imperfections, and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos).

Nyonya wares are over-glaze polychrome enamelled porcelains made in Jingdezhen in the Kiangsi province of China for the Straits Chinese, or Babas, whose female counterparts are called Nyonyas, hence the term Nyonya ware. A very large ceramic box in the shape of a peach that was used to decorate the ancestral altar. Such boxes were used to hold trinkets, precious offerings, and maybe incense when worshiping ones' ancestors. The inside of the box is divided and sealed with a green glaze. The peach measures about 5" long x 5" wide x 3 1/4" high, and dates to the end of the 19th Century. The Box has one chip at the side of one leaf. Free shipping within the USA.
