Antique copper letter opener with a Jadeite handle, with traces of gold gilt and overlaid silver hilt. The hilt is a small silver bat, a symbol of good luck. Carved on one side of the knife is a Chinese dragon and sun, on the other side is a phoenix or fenghuang with a long vine of berries and a flower. She is showing the Abhaya Mudra.

The statue is more the ten (10!!) kg heavy, made from solid bronze. It has been exhibited in our family collection since 1950.

Antique stone snuff bottle with detailed carvings of a two young, smiling Chinese boys, huddled around a bottle-gourd with a small bird. The bottle has a topper, carved in the shape of a flower bud.
