A fine and rare incense burner (zhudiao xianglu ) of tripod form with a pair of handles carved of a piece of bamboo root. A ornamented band running along the rim. Qing, Jiaqing or early Daoguang, c. 1800–1830. H 10 cm, D 6.8 cm. Condition: Excellent with nice wear from handling.

A fine 18th century Chinese molded celadon-glazed porcelain dish, finely decorated around the center with stylized archaistic dragons encircling a central roundel of a lotus flower, a band of key-fret pattern around the foliated rim, covered overall in green glazed. Qianlong period (1736 - 1795). 29 cm diameter. Good condition, no chips, no cracks, no hairlines and no repairs.

Early 19th century (1830s) Chinese Rose Medallion porcelain cup and matching saucer decorated in numerous colored enamels with scenes of birds and butterflies among flowers. The cup is enameled on the outside with a floral spray in 4 colors, and 3 sprays in blue. Excellent quality painting, beautiful vibrant colors. Typical early 19th century original blemishes in potting, overall in excellent condition. Saucer diameter 5 5/8 inches, cup diameter 3 13/16 inches, cup height 2 inches.

A beautiful and decorative object that would have been placed on a scholar’s desk for contemplation. Artistic scholar’s rock (gongshi) made of bronze. This relatively rare type of gongshi was made by dripping red-hot molten bronze onto a pile of fresh pine chips. When coagulating the bronze would then “freeze” into its present form. Thick cast bronze censer depicting a goose spreading its wings. I believe it is cast in two parts separately, the goose and the vessel then brazed together. Interesting subject, very nice finish and chasing. Old patina. No gilding, no restoration. Width the largest 14,5cm.

19th Century Chinese Rock Crystal Carved Lohan & Fu Dog Lion with Silver Inlay Wood Stand

It is 8 inches (20.3 cm) tall measured with stand and 6.1 inches (15.5 cm) tall measured without stand by 4.3 inches (11 cm) wide. The crystal weighs by itself is 2.1. Total weight including stand is 2.4 lb.
