This is an authentic antique Islamic Indian Mughal fine bidri hookah base from the 18th century. It was made in India (Deccan, Bidar).

The hookah is made of a zinc alloy and consists of two parts - a bell-shaped body and a short neck with a flanged collar and a trumpet mouth. A Remarkable Indian or East Asian offering Bowl on Stand, late 19th or early 20th century.

The bowl is cast and then finished by fine chisel work and engraving, all against an intricate punched ground. It features a myriad of hunters and animals, the trees seem full of game. On the hilly horizon can be seen various dwellings and pavilions, tiny birds in the sky. An incredible dramatic pair of Indian sandstone fragments of a pair of elephants. Stunning original white pigment remains. Realistic lifelike detailing in the form of each statue, mirroring the other's position, their heads and bodies draped in ornate, decorative garb.

A votive prayer container in silver with the a Tibetan bronze character in relief on the front. The silver is incised with leaf and flower patterns. The inside has a votive tablet bronze tablet of a Tibetan god astride a makara. There are also 2 prayer sheets, one hand-lettered, the other block printed.

A votive portable prayer altar with a bronze botisattva on the front, in relief, sitting on a lotus pedestal. it is surrounded by incised leaf and flower patterns. Inside is a statue of Buddha and there are two prayer sheets (one hand printed and one block printed).

Antique Tibetan hand-carved wooden deity mask of Mahakala, a guardian diety, the fierce and powerful being and counterpart to Kali / Mahakali. His name means "Greater than Time" as he upholds ultimate rule and power over all forces, including time and death. This hand carved mask is indeed very fierce looking, with signs of wear and traces of old lacquer all throughout. Some losses.
