A Large antique Korean faceted, ten sided, storage Jar with a matching lid. Such jars were a part of a Korean kitchen, and were used to store honey and molasses. The jar measures, with lid, about 9 3/4" high x 8 1/2" in diameter, and the mouth opening is 3 5/8" across. The lid appears to be original to the Jar. The Jar is in good condition. There are several chips on the underside of the lid, and around the mouth, and there is a 1/4" kiln crack on the mouth...

Korean Goryeo period stoneware bottle vase with wide shoulders tapering to the base and trumpet neck ending in a cup-shaped mouth covered overall in a finely crackled olive-rust tinted celadon glaze. This is a magnificent little pedestal bowl from ancient Korea. It dates to the Silla period(57 BCE-935 CE). The body is conical with rectangular perforations common to the era. The lid has been restored from 3 large fragments. Beautiful Korean antiquities are quite scarce so don't miss this fantastic find. It measures about 20 cm in height.

Unusual japanese bronze flower vase, signed with the original kiri (paulownia wood) tomobako box. On the lid of the box is the kanji 'Sentoku Tsubogata Hanaire' meaning the design is like a japanese tsubo or tea storage jar and smoked straw was used at the end of firing to achieve the rich colored markings and patina. The Mishima tea bowl is a type of Goryeo tea bowl that was made in Gyeongsangnam-do in the 15th and early 16th centuries.

The sides are covered in bluish-grey and red burnt colors as if they were replaced, and you can feel the bitterness of the times.
