A fine Vietnamese straw colored heavy crackled glazed bowl with a nice floral design. Size: Diameter. 16.7cm. H. 6.6cm. Condition: No repairs or chips. Stacking spurs in the inner center. One kiln mark on one outer side .

This beautifully formed jar from the Lopuri culture of central Thailand is well over two thousand years old and guaranteed authentic. It is covered with a dense network of calcified roots. Small jar. Slender body with short, cylindrical neck and wide mouth. On the shoulder four lugs. Upper two third of the body covered in a dull brown speckled glaze. Thailand, Sukhothai, 14-16th century.
Height 11½ inches.
One small chip underneath rim, missing areas (mouth and shoulder) in glaze, generally in very good condition.

Finely decorated with blue floral motifs on a white underglaze. Also concentric rings in the interior.

An Annamese blue and white porcelain dish. Flower decoration in cavetto centered by leaves and flowers decorated bands within unglazed rim. Leaf lappet decoration above the ring foot centering unglazed bottom with typical iron wash. 15th to 16th century. Good condition, crawling original to the firing, crazing to glaze, good resonance when tapped, no hairlines and no cracks. Diameter, 9 1/2 to 9 5/8 inches (about 24.3 cm). Height, little more than 2 1/4 inches (about 5.75 cm)...

Provenance: This totally intact massive celadon dish was recovered from the Royal Nanhai (AD. c.1460) shipwreck. The dating was based on carbon 14 analysis of the ships timber and by cross-referring the ceramic cargo to other datable shipwreck sites. The ship was about 28 metres long with a beam of 7-8 metres, and again of 'South China Sea' type...
