A Very Fine/Rare/Large Korean Mother of Pearl, Shagreen Inlaid Tray-19th C.: Korea, Joseon dynasty, 19th century. A Solid thick wood formed a circular box inlaid with a mother of pearl and shagreen with a large character in a center, a double happiness, surround by a key-fret band and floral heads, inlaid shagreen red colored on the raised wall top and interiors of wall unusually, and also exteriors inlaid with mother of pearl in simbols of treasure between coiled wires on top and bottom, ...

This is a very fine and attractive Mt Fuji wireless cloisonne box. It actually looks very similar to a Mt Fuji Sosuke tray we once had. It is not signed butthe artist is most likely Ando or Gonda. The Box measures 5 1/4 by 4 inches and s 2 3/8 inches tall. The box is beautiful and perfect except for some odd tool marks on the inner rim of the lid.

A late MING blue & white SWATOW ware decorated with a phoenix in cavetto and a border with auspicious symbols. The back side also has some painted decor. It has a thick, shiny glaze and also shows some unglazed spots. Rich patina jizaikagi hearth fish from the Taisho Period C.1920. The pot stabalizers had an iron rod through the fish that went up into a long bamboo pole that had an iron hook on the bottom to hold the iron pot over the hearth fire in old japanese farm houses.
