Chinese Song / Yuan Dynasty Qingbai Glazed Porcelain Covered Jar
This attractive small covered jar was made during the 13th / 14th Century (Song / Yuan Dynasty). It is coated inside and out in a pale greenish Qingbai glaze that is finely crackled in places. The dome-shaped cover has a carved pattern to give it the appearance of a tiled roof; this jar represents a granary. To the inner surface are the remains of ancient plant/root growths from its long burial.

A patinated bronze okimono depicting an elephant defending itself from the attack of two tigers: one on its back and the other under its paw.
Very well worked in the details of the elephant's skin, in contrast with that of the two double patina tigers with a different shine.

A Japanese okimono of a tiger, fully carved out of Keyaki (elm) wood with fantastic detailing. The tiger sits hunched over with fixated eyes, fangs out, and tail wrapped tightly against its body. Signature on bottom reads : Chizan December, Meiji 18th year.

The mask is of dark brownish lacquer finish and the interior is black lacquer. The high jaw has two protruding hooks for strapping the cords, and underneath the chin is a vent hole. The Saru Bo is fitted with yodare kare covered in lacquered black leather with three lames plates and blue silk lacing.

This is a Ming dynasty small ribbed longquan dish. It stands on a shallow recessed footrim showing the orngish burn ungaled recess. From the foot rim, it everted stright upward with a ribbed outer body. In the center of the dish, there is a faint outline of an impressed single stalk of lotus flower.
