Up for sale is this solid and fine seated bronze Guan Yin. It has an old Kanxi mark, but we think this statue dates from the Qing Dynasty in the 19th.cent. and was not made earlier. The statue has a lot of interesting carved ornaments.

Hand polished bronze in good condition with only little traces of age.

A rectangular dish, kakunagazara, made for the Japanese domestic market decorated with an auspicious manji-tsunagi, wan diaper, gilt brocade ground inset with ume hana, plum blossom inset with niche like lobed reserves containing stylised Camellia, Tsubaki. The central reserve, mikomi, window, containing geometrically arranged stylised Bamboo, take, Bamboo shoots and grasses with mist or clouds in Kumo finger form painted in underglaze blue...

An interesting kaku nagazara, rectangular dish designed for use in the Kaiseki meal. It is decorated primarily in a three colour Imari palette, more typically found on porcelain produced for export to the West. The central reserve is decorated in kinsai style with gilt and gilt outlined enamels with a “winter” landscape incorporating Bamboo, Take, Pawlonia, Kiri and Suisen, Japanese Narcissus partially obscured by cloud like ground fog, and finger form kuomo style clouds...

Finelly potted as a bowl of deep rounded form, the rim cut into five lobed, covered all over in a golden celadon glaze, glaze base. 17 cm diameter, 7.5 height. No chips, cracks, or hairlines and free from restorations.

Bronze Ming Dynasty censer in the shape of a Buddha's hand citron, a citrus planet originating from China, named so for its resemblance to hand gestures known as mudra, which Buddha is commonly depicted making. The censer's lid has the shape of leaves and the plant sits on its own vines.

Only one of a kind! Distorted half cylinder shaped (near kutsugata) tea bowl made of light, coarse unrefined Mino clay. It dates from the Momoyama Period.

The expertly thrown body is covered with the typical feldspatic shino glaze inside and outside, with the exception of the bottom' the roughly cut foot ring. A very minor iron oxide content of the clay has changed the white shino glaze to light pink (beni). This is absolutely rare...

A Very Rare/Fine Korean Blue-Glazed Turtle-Shape Water Dropper-19th C.: Korea, Joseon dynasy, 19th century. Finely and realistically molded turtle-shape water dropper, with a long head as a water spout, and carved turtle shells geomatically on the top, applied over all blue glaze, the flat base unglazed with black ink and some earth. It’s very fine coditon without any damages, it measures 8.5cm L. x 6.2cm w. x 3.5cm h.

An early 18th Century porcelain tea bowl and saucer decorated in underglaze blue with overgalze iron red and green enamels in "Verte Imari" style. This item was made in China for export to Europe early in the 18th Century, probably during the reign of the Yongzheng emperor (1723-1735). . Bowl: 4cm (1.5 inches) high; 7cm (2.75 inches) diameter. Saucer: 11.5cm (4.5 inches) diameter.

A large Kakiemon dish decorated with the Three Friends of Winter to the rim and a central motif of a Peony. The reverse decorated with a continuous lotus scroll and a spiral fuku in a double square. The dish dates to the late seventeenth century circa 1680-1700. The dish measures approximately 25 cm in diameter and stands 6cm high.
