This is a small and thinly potted Song Dynasty (960 – 1276) small yingqing bowl. It stands on a short glazed foot rim and base rising to an everted c-shaped glazed body stopping short of the rim. Both the rim inside and outside of the bowl is unglazed exposing the porcellanous body.

The small yingqing bowl has abrasion, glaze crazing, pin holes and a small chip on the rim which can be seen in all the pictures. There is no repair or restoration...

Chinese two-drawer elmwood coffer from Shanxi Province with a dark lacquered original finish and brass drawer pulls. Dates circa 1900. Measures 33"H x 37"W x 23"D. Very good overall condition. There are some losses to the finish and characteristic separations and cracks in the wood. Finely potted shallow bowl-form dish with an everted octagonal rim, painted on the exterior in underglaze cobalt blue with a scrolling vine and flower motif. The interior is delicately painted in overglaze enamels with a scene of a male and a female pheasant among flowers and the rim is decorated with eight flower scrolls in red, green and blue enamel colors and gilding. The bowl is raised on a low footring encircled by three underglaze blue lines...
