A Chinese blue and white crackle platter, Swatow Ming Dynasty. Diameter approximately 39 cm. Height approximately 9 cm. A tiny chip on the rim. Good condition.
A quirk of history went on in China in the late 1990's. They were building dams similar to our Tennessee Valley Authority dams. The government allowed archeologists and treasure hunters to dig in the areas where the land was about to be flooded. The result is that the average collector, through the internet, had the opportunity to acquire the most precious and valued treasures of China. Good condition except glaze flakes

This is a cotton textile of the Edo era. This was introduced by Muneyosi Yanagi in the world in the 1900s. And it became very famous after it. It is woven by cotton and silk dyed with natural plant dye beautifully.
You can enjoy cotton of Japan by touching it and the delicate change of the thread will be comfortable to your eyes.

Oval portrait of a young Indian woman, painted on paper in watercolor with white highlights. With velvet covered passe-partout and mounted behind glass in a later European frame. Signed "S.B. Rawoot" and dated 1/7/16 in red. Dimension: painting: c. 27.5 cm x 18.5 cm, frame 41.6 cm x 34.7 cm. Condition: slightly faded, frame with few traces of usage.
Important Kuro Raku Chawan by 4th-generation master Ichinyû Kichizaemon (1640-1696). The chawan was named Kou Un (parting clouds). It comes with an authentication box with Raku seal. It has a Urasenke hakogaki by Sen Soshitsu and a certificate of its provenance.

Japanese Meiji Period Musha Ningyo (Boys' Day Doll) depicting Emperor Jimmu Tenno, the first Emperor of Japan, in an unusual seated position. A fine and rare Ningyo, wonderfully
well-executed face with strong features, covered overall in a fine tinted
gofun (oyster shell lacquer), with a spectacular silk fiber hairstyle, sumptuous silk brocades, and a sword at his hip while holding a fabulous polearm weapon. 10.5 inches, 26.5 cm.
This is a wonderful Meiji Era Satsuma tray from Seikozan. The detail is outstanding but the condition is even better. The condition of this piece is pristine and like new or the day it left the workshop. In fact, this piece is the finest preserved example of Meiji era Satsuma we have ever had. Ironically, we found a small factory repair to one of the corners. We ran tests and it is absolutely a gold covered Seikozan factory repair (See last image).
This is the indigo-dyed cotton Tsutsugaki Nobori flag dedicated to the Inari Shrine during the Edo period.
Among the characters of tsutsugaki, it is an item written with very high technology.

Ca. 1400s
Well potted with thick, even celadon glaze overall except for the unglazed base and foot. The glaze is of a deep green tone and crackled all over covering the interior of the neck as well. Three floral form appliques decorate the shoulder just below three concentric rings leading up to the neck. A few minor earth stains remain from burial. Overall very good condition.
