A lidded Japanese Imari porcelain vase, finely painted with landscape cartouches and Ho-o birds among brocade pattern and peonies. With 19th century French bronze mountings, the pedestal composed of four nicely modelled elephant heads and heart shaped bordure, which is repeating on the rim ring. The object has a broad rim engraved with four cartouches enclosing two lobed medallions engraved with a floral pattern, one with stylized bird and another with an inscription in Eski Osmanlı Türkçesi (Old Ottoman Turkish) in Arabic alphabet “Mustafa”, has some other illegible writing in Arabic alphabet...

Rare 18th Century Burmese Wood Doll with Leather Skirt, Articulated Arms, and Painted Leather Hat Acquired by Irwin Hersey from Ohly's of London in 1976. 10 inches, 25.5 inches. From the collection of Irwin Hersey, renowned author on Asian and primitive art, and publisher of the Primitive Art Newsletter in the 1970s. Irwin Hersey was an advisor to museums and prominent collectors, and vetted pieces for many of the international tribal art fairs and Asian art fairs.

A pair of antique Chinese blue and white Porcelain Dragon vases Qing Dynasty (1644-1911 A.D.) of baluster form with a flared neck, made of excellent quality semi-transparent white porcelain.

Each is decorated with a finely painted underglaze in a vibrant tone of cobalt blue, with a five-clawed scaly dragon amidst flames and the clouds.

The lower parts near the base are painted with foaming waves and rocks. One of the vases has an Qiulong horned dragon painted above foaming waves...

A rare Japanese Fushimi clay sculpture of a Sino-Japanese War soldier. Fushimi Clay Dolls were painted dolls made of unglazed ceramic that were sold in front of the gate to Kyoto's Fushimi Inari Shrine, starting in the 16th Century at the end of the Momoyama period. They are also called Fukakusa Dolls or Inari Dolls. A charming example of Japanese folk art of the Meiji Period. An important find for the folk art collector. 10 inches, 25.5 cm.

Chinese antique mixed set of 13 pieces of porcelain bird feeder parts for a bird cage. Six of the color glazed pieces have the same 4 character mark on the bottom, a combination of Qinglong and Longqing marks. These pieces are most likely from the early 20th century. The blue and white glazed pieces are mostly 19th century and include one with a leaf mark on the bottom...

Cast Bronze Candlestick. Edo Japan Lost wax cast bronze candlestick. Beautiful cast iron and scraper finish. Decoration of Buddhist lions in relief. The candle receptacle is made of 4 hammered bronze lotus petals, these petals, thin enough, have a flexibility allowing the candles to be held perfectly. The two removable handles have the shape of Buddhist lions. Excellent bronze patina. Japanese work from the beginning of the Edo period, difficult to date with accuracy, 18th century or before...

This shallow form bowl is decorated in a famille rose palette with vibrant overglaze enamels in the standard pattern known in the West as pseudo tobacco leaf. The form and paste of the dish is that of the Qianlong Period. There are some small nicks to the rim from use and a tiny rim nick infill. A small oval glaze crack shows on the front rim with a tiny associated restored chip. Otherwise, it is in good condition with only minor wear to the enamels...

Chinese export porcelain model of Zhang Guolao, one of the eight Taoist immortals. He is holding a bamboo drum and riding on a mule. Dating to the late Qianlong period. With later wooden stand. Condition: fine, except the inserted ears of the animal are lost. Dimension: 22.5 cm high x 16.2 cm long (without stand).

This beautiful Dovetail is 3 5/8" long and made from translucent striped carter cave flint. Very finely beveled. Found by Tommy Gill in Garrad County, Kentucky,G-10.

A large Chinese snuff bottle, well hollowed, carved from a celadon jade pebble with brown sections. The front side showing a relief of a monkey at a vine. The stopper is made from turqoise glazed ceramic with bone spoon. Condition: few traces of usage. Dimension: total length: c. 9.3 cm, c. 5.5 cm wide, c. 3.2 cm deep.
