Antique Chinese Hardwood box with hinged wood doors, an interior shelf and a charming decoration on the bottom of two monkeys pulling on a shield with their tails interlaced in a scrolling pattern.There is a small handle on the top of the box with small feet. It measures 13" wide 8" deep 10" tall.

Attractive blackstone cylinder seal, Eastern Anatolia, Hattite/Hittite period of the 2nd. millenium BC.

The seal depicts a large horned animal, probably an antilope, and a much smaller capride, Tree of Life as spacer. Interestingly, the seal is hollowed out perfectly to a high degree.

This jade carving depicts two dragons, seated back to back and is, as best I can tell, the real deal. Not only are there no signs whatsoever of modern tooling, but each of the holes at the snout has been drilled from both sides, using a conical bit. The jade itself does not lie 100% flat, which would be another "telltale" of modern production. Instead, it is slightly curved...

They are in good condition no repairs, chips, or cracks, except holes drilled at the bottom, retouched and repainted by the manufacture at one vase's corner, and another vase has a foot slightly filed (as seen in the photos)...

Antique Japanese stoneware jar from Shigaraki kiln. Beautifully uneven form with high shoulders, tapered body and a narrow foot. Made using the local sandy clay from the bed of Lake Biwa, Shigaraki ware is identified by the embedded granules of feldspar. Mineral glaze is spattered over the surface and areas of dark ash adds depth and a prized natural beauty. Shigaraki is known as one of the 6 great pottery regions of Japan.

Japanese late Meiji to Taisho period Tokyo style rectangular naga hibachi with beautiful zelkova (keyaki) wood grain. Five storage drawers on the front have copper warabite handles. A removable rectangular wood insert is placed over the fire container which contains an original copper liner with nice patina. Two inset carrying handles are at the sides. Early 20th century. Found in the Philippines. Featuring a rounded melon shaped body and a waisted neck that flares to its mouth with a curved spout, opposite an applied flat handle and is covered overall in a green-white 'qingbai-type' glaze, except for the base which remains fully unglazed...

This is a superbly well carved jade piece dating, I believe, most probably to the Song dynasty, circa 1100AD, although possibly a tad later. The jade is a grayish-green nephrite and is truly the work of a highly accomplished artist. It measures some 3" in length and is 2" in height (7.5cm X 5cm). 1/4" in depth (1mm). A real beauty! Guaranteed authentic to the original purchaser.

19th century netsuke of carved as a group of eels, elongated nuts and chestnuts, three of which contain deeply carved village scenes. Excellent carving with deep undercutting, eyes inlaid with brown horn, wonderful mellow patina. Signed GYOKUHO on the back of the eel that forms natural himotoshi - the artist is very well known for that kind of work and is discussed on p. 424 of NETSUKE & INRO ARTISTS AND HOW TO READ THEIR SIGNATURES by George Lazarnick.
