Antique Japanese pair of Kutani ware porcelain fu-dogs. Each figure is glazed brown with green curling mane and tail. They stand on a yellow and brown glazed rectangular platforms. One has an open mouth while the other has a small horn. Fu-dogs or Foo-lions are fierce protectors but are also playful and energetic.

A 17th/18th Century jar (without cover) painted in under glaze blue with two Qilin (each standing amongst cloud scrolls and flames) reserved against a prunus blossom / "cracked ice" ground. This item was made in China during the reign of the Kangxi emperor (1662-1722). Condition - excellent - no damages and no restoration. 12.7cm (5 inches) high.

Pair Chinese green glazed ceramic storage jar with a globular body. The interiors are also glazed as well as isthe inside of the lids. Embossed CHINA on the bottom, we date them circa 1900. In good condition, one lid is damaged, see last photo, but it is glazed over with a clear glaze, so it was fired this way. Measures 7.5 inches high including lid, 7 inches diameter.
Japanese 19th Century Meiji period Cloisonne Vase, with silver wire, Ca. 1880, 7 1/4" high, 3 1/8" wide- widest part, very fine enamel work with Dragon and Phoenix Bird design inside Shield shape separate windows, with silver wire on the Green Enamel background, finished with silver top rim and bottom. This is a large and heavy ancient Chinese nephrite scepter or adze.Measuring slightly more than a foot in length, the piece has two beveled ends, suggesting that it may have been intended for actual use, as opposed to a ritual item. As you will see in the photographs, there is a shallow groove that runs the entire length of the piece, possibly for attaching or securing some sort of handle (?). The stone itself is a mottled green and brown nephrite. Guaranteed ancient.
Antique Chinese bronze treasure box, decorated on its sides with an overlay of bright, colorful cloisonne lilies. The lid is adorned with a carved oval jadeite piece, carved with leaves and flowers. When opened, the inside of the lid is also decorated with beautiful cloisonne, and the box's feet have delicate blue cloisonne overlay.

Chinese Tang Dynasty Painted Pottery Horse (AD 618 - 906)
This very attractive pottery model of a horse was made during the Tang Dynasty (AD 618 - 906). It is made from a buff-coloured pottery that has been "cold painted" in a reddish-brown pigment with black and white pigments to highlight the head, mane and tail. This horse is well-modelled and stands straight, alert, looking ahead.
