This is a very attractive Japanese Imari bowl. For an old Imari piece it is in excellent condition. It is also a very heavy piece potted. The bowl measures 8 1/2 inches across and 4 inches tall.

Decorated in underglaze blue with floral scrolls and auspicious clouds set against pink and turquoise enamel grounds inset with chrysanthemum motifs enriched with gilding. Antique Vietnamese bowl with goldenrod celadon crackle glaze. The outer rim has two sets of incised parallel lines. The inside center has five textured points in a star formation with thick pooled black glaze. The bottom half of the bowl has textured vertical striations with rich glaze pooling around the foot. Antique Japanese okimono gilt bronze rooster crafted in the shokado method of casting comprised of bronze, gold, and silver. The cockerel's feathered body is finely chased and carved, delineating each feather with gilding and blackened patinated silver this is infused into the finish.

Antique Japanese porcelain figure of Manjushri. The bodhisattva is seated on a moss covered rock with one hand on a sword and scroll and the other on the fu-dog in his lap. Manju is usually seen riding on a large fu-dog, this image is a sweet departure from that tradition. The fu-dog look up admiringly. Mulit color glaze and gold details.

A rare burnished red earthenware foot rasp, in the form of a stylized crouching crocodile, probably made in Asyut (circa 1850-1920), for use in the Egyptian public bath house. A fine pair of Fukugawa vases dating to the late Meji period of wasted baluster handled form standing on tripod bases. A traditional Japanese form, vases with similar tripod bases date from the late 17th century. The vases are decorated with a dark underglaze blue ground with gilt dots inset with auspicious dragons and clouds painted with enamels in doucai style, whilst the feet are decorated with stylised rocks emerging from waves, a representation of the Isles of the Immortals...

This baluster-shaped vase is well-potted and rather stout and heavy. Two elephant head handles, in imitation of a bronze form, adorn the sides of the neck. The exterior is covered overall in a puce colored glaze over which a bird, flower, and landscape scene is very finely painted in raised enamels in various colors. A Japanese impressive brown patinated bronze incense burner with shades, depicting a Shishi standing in a garden of flowers with its mouth open, holding a sphere (koro) with its paws. Antique Korean large blue and white porcelain jar, with a long, oval shaped body. Cobalt underglaze sparrows and pomegranates on branches decorate the body, with a collar of ruyi motifs along the base of the neck. The foot has a single ring above it in cobalt blue. Choson Dynasty 19th century.
