This is one of the first tea bowls in Japan, which came together with the first tea from China. It is a Chinese Jian Tenmoku Tea Bowl of the oil-spot type. These bowls were produced in large quantities for the general public as well as for the imperial court between the 10th and and the 13th century in the Fujian province.

This type with the flaring mouth is relatively rare and is shaped in James M. Plummers: Temmoku (Tokyo, 1972), p.63...

This is a very nice solid figure blowing into a conch shell. It is attributed to the Protoclassic Nayarit culture of West Mexico, C100BC-250AD. It has the original pigments that are much brighter than the photos show. It is a beautiful patinized orange and black. There is a chip off the right rear foot. A good Song dynasty qingbai glaze carved deep bowl, rounded side with deep center and unglazed base, bowl decorated with carved raising lotus petal motif at the exterior, very good bluish qingbai glaze color, product of Hutian in Jiangxi.
Bowl is in good condition, no chip, no crack, no restoration, small glaze fritt at inner rim, good qingbai color, porcelain high ping sound with finger tip.

A rare Hutian Song dynasty qingbai - yingqing bowl with carved infant (wawa) and leaves or flower motif. rounded side with conical shape covered with light bluish white glaze, products of Hutian kiln.

Chenghua (1465 - 87) minyao ( peoplesware ) bowl. This nice piece bears the " tian " ( heaven ) mark on its base, which is normally to find also on later imperial pieces of the Chenghua periode ! A large Yuan dynasty longquan celadon dish, this dish has a flat bracketed rim and ribbed well, the foot ring and base are glazed apart from a wide ring for firing, the center is decorated with carved flower motif, also the well and outer part decorated with carved flower motif, dish covered with green glaze.
Dish is in very good condition no damage, no chip, no crack, no restoration, good glaze.

A good example of Celadon alms bowl found from the deep sea of South Sulawesi area. Condition is good excepted glaze degraded and a tiny flaked chip to rim, no any crack and free from any restoration. Song/Yuan Dynasty. Maximum Diameter: 12 cm.
