Interesting and rarely seen example of the Quatrefoil stone stamp seal group, Eastern Anatolia, Halaf period, c. 6th.-5th.- mill. BC.

An early but still quite elaborate small stamp seal, carved with a small cross inside the larger.

The size of each Vase: 5 1/8 " High x 2 3/4" Dia.(widest). Top size 1 3/8" Dia Bottom: 1 3/4" Dia. Right side vase is 1/16” shorter than other. This is the very lovely pair of Chinese Porcelain Famille Rose Landscape Vase. Each vase has exquisite detail painting design of landscape. The form of vase is very rare. The both vase has marking of "Great Qing Xianfeng Year Made" (大清成豊年製)in blue underglaze. Xianfeng period was one of late Qing dynasty 1851-1861...

Japanese inro with 5 compartments decorated all around with a scene of a mountain stream running down hill through rocks and low tree branches. On one side of the inro, the stream falls over rocks and continues on the other side of the inro in a striated current. Various trees including blossoming fruit trees and pines spring from the rocks. Pine saplings emerge from a gold mist in the foreground. Created with a fine raised gold maki-e lacquer technique and inlaid with gold metal flecks...

A late 18th or early 19th Century Famille Rose enamelled jar made in China, probably for export, during the reign of the Jiaqing emperor. For comparison (of enamels) we have pictured two export Lion Joss Stick Holders (usually dated either late Qianlong or Jiaqing, circa 1800) in our last enlargement. Condition - very good - there are no damages and there has been no restoration. 16cm (6.3inches) high...

Small tripod miniature incense burner of simple form in cast bronze. The two handles are unusually very thin. Below we can see the 6 characters of the reign of Xuande of the Ming Dynasty. The bronze is old, the beautiful patina attests to it. However, it is difficult to date it exactly. Usually the bronzes bearing the mark of Xuande are from the 17th century. A wooden base and lid were added later, probably in the 19th century...

Opium box of rounded rectangular shape, decorated with an embossed design all over its body representing a noble man in front of a house in the company of two women, a floral decor, Chinese characters and a geometric design. Antique Japanese screen painting in 6 panels. Painted to resemble a samurai encampment space divider. The simple graphics of the curtain-like camp divider are painted in black and white and displays the kamon (crest) of the Takiyama Family. Narrow slits between the white and black sections of cloth were for the wind to pass through, preventing the curtain from becoming a sail. This is a beautiful fukusa from the Meiji era. This is a high quality silk fukusa designed by Fukurokuju (one of the Seven Gods of Fortune).
