A massive bowl, likely a food bowl for really large parties. The bowl almost completely covered with fine azurite patina on the exterior and when cleaned would reveal the fine design of incised circles-dots (bulls-eye), likely hexacons as well.

The expertly thrown body is covered with the typical, glossy black iron oxide glaze inside and outside, leaving 2 unglazed 'windows' on opposite sites. One 'window' is decorated with ivy or vine leaves. The other 'window' shows flying birds in iron oxide glaze which has been covered with a clear ash and feldspar glaze. This is a typical Momoyama Era design...

Set of 3 “Socialist Kitsch”, porcelain brush pots with green Jingdezhen “China” marks inside the “bi” shaped footrims, circa 1960s-1970s. These all have the same mark and same dimensions H: 12cm/4.8in and D: 8.4cm/3.2in. Relatively good Jingdezhen quality porcelain, and simple polychrome decorations with revolutionary slogans. These were meant for mass consumption but amazingly little of it remains today...

Very fine, signed, men’s blanket from the Biboki, Feotle'u area West Timor, Indonesia. The the name of the weaver’s family, were woven into this. W: 114cm/44.8in and L: 186cm/73in, except for the yellow and blue lines this is woven from all naturally dyed handspun thread. Dating circa 1950 to 1960.
