This extremely rare Neolithic Chinese bone comb was dug out in present day Province of Shaanxi, Southern region, close to Yellow River (Xi'an , Banpo settlements). It is 4" wide by 2 1/8" high. It has been cleaned and is in perfect condition. Purchased from a world-famous collection. One would be hard-pressed to find a finer example.

Japanese sake cup, well painted with Hyakunin or one hundred poets motif, late Edo or early Meiji. Red overglaze mark of Kutani, and possibly the name of the artist. Height "2¼/ 5,5 cm. Condition: fine.

Chinese large blue and white dish, first part of the 18th century. The same border of bamboo, vines and grapes was found on many items in the cargo of Swedish East Indiaman Götheborg that went down in 1745. Diameter "10½/ 27 cm. Condition: restored rim chips as seen on photos and a hairline.

A Chinese Export blue and white plate for everyday use, unusual in its simplicity with a modest decoration of flower sprigs and geometric lines on a blue-grey background. Qianlong period, mid 18th century. Diameter "9¼/ 23,5 cm: Condition: some wear and rim frits, and a hairline.

Chinese pottery green glaze jar with plain decoration. Lead glaze with copper is the main colorant used in Han period to produce green glaze. Greenware became popular during the Eastern Han period.

This is a Japanese Nishijin obi made in exceptionally high quality. The obi is old but almost in perfect condition. It is beautiful to look at even without using a magnifying glass. The soft colors have an earth tone and the use of the dyed threads tells us that this is a superior work of Kyoto Nishijin. The scenery is of the mountains of Kyoto but if you look closely, you might notice that there is a foreign look to some of the structures. The size of each structure is 1" to 2.5"...

This is a wonderful but plain little copper alloy or bronze axe head from the ancient middle East. Types like this are often associated with either the Amlash or Luristan cultures. This piece has three raised ridges on the socket. It is intact, solid and stable with no repair or restoration. It weighs 230 grams and measures 12.5 cm across. This is a fine example of ancient craftsmanship at a very low price. Don't miss it!!!!

This is a fantastic example of an ancient bronze mace head. This piece was part of a large collection of bronze weapons from the middle East. There are four radial spike protruding from the head. The socket is hollow and slightly flared near the bottom. There is a perforation for attaching the socket to a shaft. This piece weighs 222 grams and measures just under 10 cm. Mace heads like this are very rare and quite desirable for collectors. This piece won't last long!!

This is a very unique copper alloy or bronze axe head. It is possibly Elamite in origin. It appears to be an early piece based on the reddish brown patina that is typical of high copper content pieces. It does appear to have been cleaned at some point. The socket is rectangular. There is a perforation on either side of the socket for attachment to the shaft pole. There is also a perforation in the rear blade which may or may not be original to the piece...

This is a very unusual, decorated bronze axe head from Northern Iran. I have not seen an axe of this exact type before. It has a reddish brown patina that is typical of earlier bronze or copper age pieces. The overall design and decoration is quite unique as is obvious in the photos. This piece weighs 276 grams and measures nearly 12 cm across. Such an unusual piece will not last long so don't miss it!

This is a beautiful ancient bronze axe head from Norther Iran ca 1200 BC. It has very thick and flared blades. The socket has a raised ring or ridge around it and underneath both blades are three raised lines cast into the bronze. This is quite an unusual type acquired from a large private collection. It weighs 611 grams and measures 16 cm across. This piece is a must for any ancient weapon collection.

This is another in a series of interesting ancient bronze axes recently acquired from a private collection. It has a deep red patina typically associated with early, high copper content tools and weapons. It is very solid and stable with only minor losses to the surface. Axes of this type are often associated with Amlash or Luristan cultures but this one has some interesting features not found on most...

This is a very special offering of a small bronze axe from ancient Iran (circa 1200-1500 BC). It has minor losses to the horizontal blade and shows some pitting. These small axes seem to be a good bit more rare than their larger counterparts. This came as part of a large private collection and as a result I can offer it at much less than what these pieces usually sell for. I doubt that this one will be here for very long. It weighs 108 grams and measures just 9 cm in length.
