With an unusual European form, this oblong bowl with lid is decorated overall with a flower and butterfly design in shaded enamels on a white ground with an ultra marine blue secondary ground, as a banding around the lid and as a surround for the two flower cartouches on the bowl's exterior. A small turquoise band encircles the base of the bowl which rests on a flared foot. The interiors of both the lid and bowl are covered in a speckled, medium green enamel...

Chinese porcelain vase marked kangxi on the foot, but thought to be a late 19th century reproduction. There are domestic scenes painted in the over glaze enamels and repairs to the lip of the rim. This Chinese Jia Qing or Dao Guang period (1796~1850) hand painted enamel leaf-shaped tray is 12 ¼ inches long, 8 ¼ inches on the widest part and 1 1/8 inches high with legs. It depicts a blue orchid, two pink roses, an unknown yellow flower and a blue beetle with white spots on a turquoise background. It has yellow-green bottom and three legs. This tray was part of a private collection which was on display in 1970 at ¡°The China Institute in America¡± in New York...
This early 20th century Chinese export cloisonné box is 4 ¾ inches long, 3 inches wide and 1 ¾ inches tall. It depicts yellow stylized lucky bats over a black background. Aside from a few small scratches due to the age, it is in great condition.

Very Fine and Beautifully Rendered Hono Ema from the Tensho Shrine, dated October 7, 1695. The inscription reads Mikawa Province (modern day eastern Aichi Prefecture), Tomifuku-gun ('county'), Oshiro Mountain. While the wealthy would often give a horse as a gift to a Shinto shrine, the common person would give a Hono Ema (literally 'gift horse picture'). These plaques are then left hanging up at the shrine for the gods to see...
