Fabulous antique Chinese table apron textile with 4 gold dragons, (originally had nine), above water on a blue silk background with auspicious Buddhist symbols and a two inch floral border of peonies, irises, and butterflies in blues and white, the border possible was added at a later date. A Korean Fine Blue and White Dragon Painted Porcelain Jar-19th C. : Korea, Choson Dynasty, 19th Century, This dragon jar with a blue tinged white glaze is of tall elongated baluster form, painter in cobalt blue with a scaly four-clawed dragon in pursuit of a flaming pearl in a cloud-filled sky, all below the ru-yi head collar supporting a tall straight neck decorated with large clouds between ru-yi designs...

This well cast Meiji period Japanese bronze vase is 10 ¾ inches tall and 4 inches in diameter at its widest. It depicts a wild goose flying away from the moon. The moon is silver inlaid and the goose is silver overlay on top of the bronze body. The goose eye and feet is gold. There is a maker¡¯s seal on the bottom, it reads ¡°Kyoto, made by Kuroda¡±. There are a few scratches on the body and lighter color around the moon due to cleaning.

A beautiful and elegant Dr. Wall First Period Worcester tankard, or mug, painted with the "Walk in the Garden" pattern, showing a "Long Eliza" figure holding a basket and a ruyi sceptre, the boy at her side with a speared bird, and birds in the branches of a fine tree on the reverse. The inside of the footrim has a workman's mark which appears to be IH or JH.

The mug is of quite a goodly size, being 4 3/4" in height...

Up for sale is an antique Chinese embroidered silk yardage consists of 2 long pieces and one small piece for the flap to the right of a Manchu woman's long robe- Changfu. The satin silks are embroidered with peonies and butterflies, very fine embroideries ! Each piece is signed by the silk workshop ( See picture #24 in the decsription)...

A very good sample of Ming dynasty 15th century blue and white very large jar, rounded side with globular body and unglazed base, jar decorated with under glaze blue of continuous large band of flower motif in the center, on the shoulder with flower spray motif divided in Arabic style band.

Up for sale is an antique Chinese Qing dynasty round rank badge, 5-claw dragon couched with gold wrapped threads, and other fine embroideries including flaming pearl, clouds, sea waves and buddhist auspicious objects, framed and glazed. The badge is taken from the surcoat of a mmperial family member who was allowed to wear a round badge during the Qing dynasty. The badge is overall in very good condition, but never inspected outside the frame...

There have been decorative textiles sewn into squares or rectangular shapes since the Edo period in Japan. The small squares are made for tea ceremonies; the medium to larger sized ones (called fukusa) are used to cover seasonal and ceremonial gifts. This old Chinese panel was acquired in Japan mixing into our fukusa collection.
