An ornate Victorian SP ink stand with ink pot, drawer and pen rest 1860. A wonderful mid-Victorian silverplated ink stand with a Feb. 20, 1860 registration date. This 11-1/2 x 7-1/2" stand features a pottery inkwell in a domed lidded brass holder mounted on the deck, which also has a brass pen rest. Besides the ornate hand-engraving, it also has a copper military button mounted with a screw and bolt. The shoulders have a high relief vine and berries design and it has scroll feet...

Skillfully crafted Shino ware Tea Bowl (Chawan) for tea ceremony made in 19 century by anonymous potter.

Shino ware is produced in today's Gifu prefecture since 16th century and it is distinguished by thick white glazes, red marks and the surface of small holes.

Charming bronze figure of the reclining Buddha. This stage depicting the death of his body and his attainment of the realm of his true self and ultimate enlightenment is called Mahaparinirvana. 19th century staghorn ojime (slide bead for tightening the cord going from netsuke to inro) carved in a form of a skull. Very nice work, pleasant patina, light staining, in great condition. Height 1/2 inches.

Beautiful set of six sterling silver seafood forks in terrific Art Nouveau pattern by Joseph Seymour. Each piece is covered from the tip of the handle to the very beginnings of the tines with curves and stylized chrysanthemum-like blossoms in the Japonaise style. The tines are nicely curved and barbed. The backs are hallmarked by Seymour.

Origin: America, ca. 1885. Condition: excellent, sharp detail, no monograms. Size: 6-1/8” long. Weight: 87.5 grams.

Circa 1840, English porcelain Staffordshire quill pen holder depicting a confetti coleslaw nest with a dove protecting 2 hatchlings from a snake. The inkwell has one hole for the quill and is in excellent condition. Any imperfections are firing flaws, typical of early Staffordshire pieces. Measures about 2.5" high and 2.75" diameter.

This lovely Shino tea bowl fashioned from coarse Mino clay is covered in feldspar glazing, has a classic ferrous abstract painting across the front, and shows nice age—most likely from early to middle Edo.

Shino-ware dates to the Momoyama period when potters were attempting to recreate white porcelain-wares that were being imported from China at the time. Originally they were made in a single-chamber anagama style kilns set into the hillsides...

This matched pair of ivory carvings of birds resting on a plum tree was completed in the mid or late 19th century. They depict long tail birds resting on old plum tree trunk. Their heads are turned in an interesting pose. They are 10” high (11 ½” high with hard wood base), 2 ¼” wide and 2” in depth. The carvings have a very nice patina. Aside from one hair line crack on the bottom of one of the trees, they are in great condition.

This is a finely made Blue and White Porcelain Snuff Bottle, of tubular form with straight neck and rolled rim, resting on an unglazed footing, with a patterned band around the shoulder and neck. It depicts three figures with a donkey. It has a six-character Yongzheng mark on the base in undergrlaze blue. It comes with a rosette ceramic stopper...
