A collection of four small stoneware elephants with different celadon glazes from the Si Satchanalai or Sawankhalok kiln in Thailand. Dimension: tallest: c. 10.5 cm long x 8.2 cm high, smallest: c. 7 cm long x 5.6 cm high. Condition: two elephants with slightly chipped ears.
Distorted shoe shaped (kutsugata) tea bowl with a flaring mouth made of light, coarse, unrefined Mino clay. The expertly thrown body was trimmed with a potters knife in its lower part and its brim. It dates back to the early Edo Period (1603-1868).
It is covered with a very deep black iron oxide glaze inside and outside. A 'window' on the side has been left unglazed and is decorated with two fish nets hung for drying...
Japanese antique old silk yuzen-dye & Tie-dye & beniitajime dye( natural Safflower dyeing) kimono edo era(1800-1867)very rare.It has a few thin stains & discoloration. However,It does not stand out. It is no damage.They are not disturbing, and as a whole it is in very good condition.

A very rare and interesting Islamic pottery tile with medallion and arab Muslim writing inside, pre 15th. century AD.
The tile would looks be of Khorassan and dating ca. 12th. century AD, but is guaranteed to be pre 1500.
Greyish pottery with low relief but sharp imprint. Crescent and sun visible as Islamic symbols and floral and geomethric decorations. In the center a medallion with Cufic or Arab writing.

A buff-terracotta vessel, with rounded body, tapering cylindrical neck with ribbed collar in relief and everted molded rim, the shoulder incised with concentric circle bands. Silk crepe cloth with beautiful embroidery of wisteria motif which is one of the long sleeves (furisode). The ground cloth is white silk crepe (chirimen) and the embroidery threads are vegetable dye. It has kata-kanoko (stencil-dye pattern) imitating small shibori pattern named kanoko shibori. In excellent condition except for a light brownish line in the center. This porcelain vase was produced in Germany by the Donath Drescen Studio in the 1880s. The vase is 9 1/2 inches high and 6 inches across the handles. The handles on this vase are elegant.

19th century Japanese ojime (slide bead for tightening the cord going from netsuke to inro) carved out of a fruit pit as a mother monkey eating a fruit with 3 babies loitering in her arms while a teenager climbed on her back and is eating a smaller fruit on her head. Wonderfully captured mood of the scene, very nice carving with great level of detail, wonderful faces, pleasant mellow patina. Height 1 inch.
19th century ojime (slide bead for tightening the cord going from netsuke to inro) carved as seated shishi with its mouth open and containing a small ball, and its front paw on a large rock. Very nice carving - see its ferocious face, mane and ribs. Beautiful wear, wonderful warm patina, in excellent condition. Height 3/4 inches.

A fine Georgian wine glass with a multiple-spiral opaque twist (MSOT) stem below an ogee bowl. The stem has a flattened shoulder knop and a basal knop. This knop configuration, combined with an uncommon twist type, makes this glass quite unusual. Conical foot with a rough, snapped pontil. Good color, tooling marks, and striations.
The condition is excellent, with no chips, cracks, hazing, or restoration...
A Chinese jade vase, carved as a lotus leaf with a flower in one corner and a ribbon tying the leaf and its coiled trailing stalk forming the base. The composition is very attractive, the body is quite thinly carved and the stone is of celadon hue. A high quality example of Qing lapidary arts, it measures 14 cm ( 5 1/2 inches) high. It comes with its own custom made wooden base. Age; 19 C. condition: excellent.

A very rare pair of ironwood chairs also know as Tieli mu. Ironwood has been used with huanghuali items since the Ming Dynasty. In all the years that I have been collecting Chinese furniture, this is the only pair of ironwood chairs I have come across. Ironwood is usually been confused with jichimu.
