A very rare early Ming 15th century blue and white large moon shape flask, rounded side with high mouth and unglazed base, flask decorated with under glaze blue of countinous flower scroll motif, similar Ming blue and flask has been found in middle east, arabic style flask found from middle east for countaining holy water.
Moon flask is in good condition with minor damage at the rim and asociate crack line covered / restored.
Size: 24 cm height.

A highly attractive massive finger ring with a high round bezel, with elaborate cross design, Byzantine, c. 10th. cent.

Interesting hexagonal shape of the ring itself.

Condition: Extremely fine for this type, of exceptionally metal, very sharp and wearable...

Steatite seal of square shape, with an engraved design representing a helmeted king riding a horse, surmounted by an undecipherable inscription. Indus Valley Civilisation, 2600-1900 B.C. Height: 3.7 cm. Some abrasion, otherwise very good condition.

Antique Japanese two section Kiri wood Nihon Matsu tansu with top and sides lacquered in deep red. This chest has four large and medium drawers with decorative backplates handles, and large iron locks incised with different flora. The top section has a side lockbox with three small drawers inside. A working key is included. Dates from the Edo Period c1850. Size: 38" height, 33.25" width, 16.75" depth

This is an authentic Neolithic Hongshan jade object, described in the literature as "hoof-shaped." Current scholarly opinion is that it was used to hold the individual's hair, based on where these objects have been found in excavated tombs. The piece measures 4-1/2" in height and is 2" in diameter. As with most published examples, it has two holes near the base which would have allowed the insertion of a "pin" to hold the hair in place...

Antique Japanese small lacquer tebako (accessory box). Rectangular form with rounded edges and decorated with Chrysanthemums on the lid. The whole box is covered inside and out with a dense gold nishiji background. The rim of both the lid and the body of the box are edged in bronze.

Unusual antique French Limoges gold trimmed porcelain oyster plate depicting different sea grasses. In excellent condition, it measures 9.5" diameter.

NOTE: A very interesting technique was used to create the effect of underwater movement. They 1st printed the image in light green, then printed the same image in dark pink over it, but slightly offset. Where the images overlapped, it created a 3rd color, brown, which establishes the main part of the plant.

Pair of tall Edwardian Classical sterling silver candlesticks. Made by Barbour Silver Co. (part of International) in Hartford, Conn., ca 1910. Each: Ovoid socket with round detachable bobeche on tapering shaft with base knop; raised foot. Engraved borders comprising paterae with pendant flowers and vases joined by garland. Fully marked including maker’s stamp and no. 101C. Very good condition with a few pings.

Cast and turned bronze vase. Decor of bamboo, rocks and Greek friezes incised and inlaid with silver wires. The bronze has a beautiful original patina. It lacks inlays that have come off over time. Probably china or vietnam 19th centurie. Height about 16cm. No restaure.

A green "Celadon" glazed dish or shallow bowl with flat bracketed rim. The centre is decorated with a moulded peony flower; surrounding this the thick green glaze is incised with stylized lotus scrolls. This item was made in the Longquan kilns, Zhejiang province circa 1400-1500 during the first half of the Ming dynasty. Antique Japanese single section tansu from the Sendai region made from kuri (chestnut) wood with a red lacquer finish. Its drawers are adorned with large iron lock plates with elaborate floral motifs. The mokko (melon) shaped handles are mounted on flower shaped plating. The lockbox conceals two drawers within, and comes included with a key...

A Chinese porcelain vase decorated with flowers and butterfly and other motifs in famille rose enamel. This is a rare example which demonstrates the earliest famille rose decoration on Chinese porcelains. Early 18th century - late Kangxi to Yongzheng period. Conditions: A hairline (1") from top to the shoulder of the vase; a very tiny flake at the bottom near the foot rim. Height: 7-1/2".

A high quality period American Brilliant Cut glass 9-3/8" comport identified for us as the Meteor pattern, produced by Pairpoint. This unsigned footed glass dish measures 6" across the bowl, and it is in excellent original condition with no cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than some very tiny bites to a few of the edges (largest shown is 3/16" long). A beautiful piece of glass from the great period of American cut glass...

Rare English, circa 1824, footed Georgian christening mug with a foliate capped double scroll handle. The body is chased and embossed with rose and leaf motif. In excellent condition, it measures about 3 3/8th high b 2 3/4" diameter at the mouth. Hallmarked.

Antique Japanese Nihon Matsu isho tansu (clothing chest) in two sections from the Nihonmatsu area of Fukushima Prefecture. Made all of kiri (paulownia) wood. Iron hardware has a deep red lacquer finish and includes hirute shaped drawer pulls and large square lock plates with shōchikubai symbols (three friends of winter: plum, pine and bamboo) and a butterfly key hole cover.
