This is a 19th century Japanese imitation of a Chinese cloisonne bowl. It has a white background and fish, horse and floral design on both the exterior and interior. There is a square brass seal reading ¡°imitate Ming¡± on the bottom. In this case, ¡°Ming¡± is a general name for Chinese or Mandarin. It is 10 inches in diameter and 4 ¾ inches tall. Good condition.

We believe this porcelain box was produced in France at the Sevres factory in the late 1700s. It is unmarked. The quality of the painting and the workmanship of the doré bronze rim have led us to this conclusion. The box measures 3 inches long, 2 1/4 inches wide and 1 3/4 inches deep. Large brilliant-cut jar with sterling silver cover. Made by Watson Co. in Attleboro, Mass., ca 1900. Round and curved with stars, ferns, and diaper. Cover gently raised; on top repousse shell, scroll, and flower wreath (vacant center). Cover interior gilt washed. Marked "Sterling" and maker’s stamp. Very good condition.

An ivory netsuke depicting the samurai warrior Sato Tadanobu, who saved the life of Minamoto no Yoshitsune. Tadanobu is depicted with the goban board under his feet and his right hand behind his head ready to throw the container of pieces, the goke. A quintessential Iga vase dating from the Edo period, the rough clay covered in thick ash glaze. A very nice early carving and highly unusual! Buddha is depicted as a crowned king seated on his double Lotus Throne held by a dragon below and with a great flaming halo behind, carved with dragons.

The carving can be dated to the late Ming-early Qing dynasty, c. 17th. century.

Condition: Nice Very fine. even wear and drying of the wood chips and degradation of the paint, but with much of the original laquer and paint still preserved...

Up for sale is an antique Chinese Qing dynasty embroidered dragon silk robe, Jifu, with nine 5-clawed dragons executed in couched gold wrapped threads; clouds, buddhist & Taoist auspicious symbols, bats, sea waves, and standing water ( Lishui) are executed in brick stitch; Overall is in excellent condition, no frays across shoulders' folding lines.
