Middle 19th century Chinese white jade Pi. The piece is 2 ¼ inches in diameter and 5/16 inches thick. A pinhead (Gu) design is on one side; the other side has a five scroll design. The carved wood stand has six round vase shaped corners. There is a tiny chip on the rim of the jade and a small piece is missing on the curve of the stand. It is in good condition.

A porcelain Kendi with powderblue glaze and decorations in gold, mounted with a silver lid and spout. China, Qianlong (1736-1795). H. 27 cm. Condition: wear to the gold decoration and wear to the silver (see pictures). The silver spout may have had a small lid, that was connected with a chain to the main lid of the Kendi. Note: Many Kendis were exported to Indonesia, it is very well possible that the silver mounts were added there. Provenance: Amsterdam private collection.

A wonderful molded pedestal glass with an unusually large pointed round funnel bowl above a crisp 6 sided hollow Silesian stem; folded foot. 6 1/4" tall, 2 3/4" bowl diameter, 2.8" foot diameter

Although the glass is soda, the lead-like ring to it, combined with its extremely high overall quality strongly indicates a Tyneside (N. England) origin.

Lovely set of smaller vases, covered in green glaze with a wonderful ancient iridescence, Chinese Han Dynasty, c. 200 BC-100 AD.

The vases of a traditional Hu shape and with typical unglazed marks from the Kiln of the rim. This had to do with how these were burnt in the Kiln.

Size: Both c. 12,3 cm. tall.

This work towel is made for use but is also very beautiful. I think it is linen one way and cotton the other way. (warp and weft). It has a feel and sheen of linen but also has the flat look of cotton. It is in very good condition, has the original loop for hanging it up, and is hemmed on both sides of the towel. The initials are sewn with a brown floss and I think the initials are MLW. The width is 15 ", length 42". It is supple yet sturdy and had a wonderful rustic country look...

Authentic rare ancient Chinese, Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD), silver – inlaid, thinly cast bronze, circular hand mirror. The front of the mirror is decorated with silver inlaid with three lotus leaf motifs near the outer rim; the inner site has remains of the silver plating.
CONDITION: In good condition considering its age, with beautiful green patina showing its age and usage. The mirror originally had a handle which at some point was broken off...

An oversized plate (10 ½ inches (26.7 cm) diameter) with a hand painted bouquet of petunias in the center, surrounded by a thick gilt band and the elaborately molded lip with the molding picked out in gold. The printed blue KPM mark on the bottom was used during the years 1847 to 1849. There is also an incised Roman numeral four and possibly the number 14. It was probably used as a serving plate for pastry or cake.

Condition: no chips cracks hairlines or repairs...

A rare and complete group of an ox and carriage in grey pottery with remains of polychrome. China, Tang Dynasty (618-907). The result of the thermoluminescence test by Kotalla is consistent with the dating of this lot. The report is included in the sale. Dimensions: the carriage H. 32 cm, L. 23 cm, the ox H. 18 cm, L. 23 cm. Condition: very good, no visible repairs, although repairs on early pottery are quite common and accepted. A set of four blind molded dinner plates 8 7/8 inches (22.5 cm) diameter with charming overglaze hand painted floral decoration and gilt rims. Though unmarked, this molded lip is unique to Coalport and dates to around 1820. The arrangement of the floral bouquets on the plate was a popular one, starting in the 18th century.

Condition: All with some wear to the gilding and with black spots and small lines from the ash in the kiln...
