This beautiful elegant lotus is perched on curled stems that make up the lotus's stand. A small bud is tucked underneath, resting upward against the flower. A well decorated Chinese Imari export plate with underglaze blue and overglaze red, orange and gold. The scene of flowering plants and a Chinese fence covers the face of the plate, from the rim on one side, across the center and onto the opposite rim. There is a single blue line at the outer border and a brown edge. The back is decorated with blue and red trailing flowers and has an unglazed foot. Probably the first quarter of the 18th century...

A complexly decorated Chinese export plate in underglaze blue with overglaze red, orange and gilding depicting scrolling plants, two panels with a house under a flowering tree and an octagonal symbol in the center. Brown painted rim. There are trailing blue and red plants on the back and the foot is unglazed. Probably more toward the first quarter of the 18th century than the second quarter. 8 5/8 inches (22 cm) diameter.

This unique and stylish bronze vase has a beautiful shape. Two charming elephant trunks extend from the neck of vase on either side with a floral, geometric background. Antique Japanese bronze vase with a rectangular form, a raised horizontal line running along its very middle with the image of a taotie motif (jawless face/ogre). It has long, slender side handles curling at the bottom and forming into a face at its very top and its neck and base are fluted outwards. Meiji period (1868-1912) Size: 11" height, 5" width

This is a wonderful cabinet vase by Gonda. This vase is not signed but Gonda was the master of this style of cloisonne. These wireless iris vases are not only highly desirable, but are also not easy to come by. The vase measures 3 3/4 inches tall. Condition is excellent.

Relics of the Nile is pleased to present this interesting example of an ancient Greek bronze arrowhead. This arrowhead was manufactured by one of the Greek states ca. 600 - 200 B.C. This arrowhead is of the trilobite type and remains intact with lovely patina. The blade measures 27mm in length. Ca. 600 - 200 B.C. Ex-McInnis collection.

Relics of the Nile is pleased to present this detailed ancient Greek bronze coin. The coin features the a choice patina with the head of an emperor on the obverse. The reverse of the coin features a standing figure flanked with Greek text on either side. This is a lovely example that measures 3/4" in diameter. Ex-McInnis Collection.

Ca. 200 - 300

Carved from gray schist and retaining most of the neck, this head appears to have once been part of a larger relief carving. The back of the head was probably attached to a larger stone background and was later chiseled off. The hair is wavy and the lips are bow shaped. There are no apparent cracks or repairs to the stone, but the lower left ear shows some small loss. Acquired in 1980 from the estate of a history professor who who traveled extensively and collected antiques...
