This set of 8 porcelain dessert plates was produced in Germany by Rosenthal around 1900. They were produced in Rosenthal’s “Dresden Works”. The plates measure 8 ½ inches in diameter. They are intricately hand gilded with raised and beaded gilding and hand painted with vividly colored roses. The design has an art nouveau style. These plates are wonderful for display or use. This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by the Royal Berlin Porcelain Manufactory in 1909. It has an impressed date code indicating this year. The porcelain blank is molded with a basket weave border and the area where the handle is attached on the cup has raised flowers. The ground color is ivory with a hint of iridescence. Little blue flowers are attached to finely gilded, vine-like tendrils. All of the hand painting is ultra-delicate, with precision detail...

Turn-of-the-century French gilt bronze picture frame. Rectangular window in same surround with raised leaf-and-dart, imbricated leaf, and beaded borders. Red guilloche border and applied and pierced flower baskets, cornucopias, bouquets and shells. Ribboned and leafing rinceaux crown. With glass, silk lining and hinged easel wire support.
